Chapter 435 Oliver Was Bewildered

Everly withdrew her gaze and looked at the soup bowl in front of her with mixed feelings.

Thus, they finished dinner in silence. He cleared the table on his own initiative, carried all the dinnerware to the kitchen, put on her apron and washed all the dinnerware clean before he held Oliver's chubby little hand and drew him towards the front door, intending to go back home.

"Goodbye, Aunt Violet!" Oliver reluctantly waved at Everly.

"Bye." Everly waved back but found herself unable to smile.

Standing in the doorway, she watched as Oliver, glancing over his shoulder every few steps, returned to Rose Pavilion which was next door with Carson.

With a gentle click, the front door of Rose Pavilion was closed, blocking her view of the people inside.

Everly stood there in a daze for minutes. Though it was already March, the weather was still fairly cold.

As a chill wind blew by, she gave a shiver and jerked out of her trance, then turned around and went inside.
