Chapter 453 Putting On a Show

Oliver thought, 'I need to put on a show, and then I can complain to Mom. Good!'

Oliver was so delighted that his eyes lit up. Yet he lowered his head, looking distressed.

"Oliver, don't be sad," Lily said worriedly, "everything will be okay."

"Maybe," Oliver replied in a low voice with a nod. They walked out of the classroom.

The final bell rang. The teachers led out the children. Their parents would come to pick them up. Oliver packed his small schoolbag and stood in line.

In the office, Everly looked at the clock and found it was time for Oliver to leave school.

She had rearranged the work for the staff. Everything was ready.

Thinking of the news about Carson that she had read today, Everly couldn't concentrate on the documents.

Finally, she put them aside, picked up the car key, and went out of her office.
