Scarlett was amused by Alexander. "Mr. Smith, Raymond and I are not nearsighted or face blind."

"Then you guys pretended not to recognize me, right?"

Scarlett swallowed the soup before asking, "You didn't want to be recognized by us, did you?"

She had a good point. Alexander was lost for words.

"Well, aren't you curious why I came here to work as a waiter?"

Scarlett gave him a look. "Maybe this is your hobby. It's improper for us to ask about that."

Alexander heard the sarcasm in Scarlett's words. He was upset. "How could it be? I work here just because I made a friend angry..."

Before he could finish, the intercom in Alexander's pocket rang. He pressed a button on it. Someone asked him where he was and told him that several tables of guests were waiting for their food.

Alexander answered that he got it. He then looked at Scarlett and Raymond. "Well, I'll explain that to you later. I've got stuff to do."
