CHAPTER 6

As Diana watched Marcus and his 'old friend' she realized two things, one being the fact that a real bride who was inlove with Marcus would have dragged Angelique by her perfect hair and scratched her eyes out and two being that Marcus had lied, there were far from old friends.

Anyone who saw them interact could see that there was an unspoken intimacy between them and anyone who wasn't dense could easily tell that the other woman was crazy about Marcus.

"Now that's your competition." A voice drawled from behind her.

Diana tore her gaze away from her husband and his so called friend to look at the gentleman behind her. "Sorry?"

The handsome gentleman smiled at her. "I didn't mean to startle you. I'm Sebastian, your husband's cousin." He introduced himself.

"Oh hello, I'm sorry it's been a long day....." She started to apologize for not recognizing him but Sebastian cut him off.

Don't worry I understand." He smiled again and Diana decided she liked him. "You look lovely by the way, I can see why my cousin was in such a hurry to get you to the altar."

Diana briefly wondered if this was his way of asking why their wedding was in such a rush. Oh well, she wasn't going to be baited. "Actually I'm the one who was in a hurry, I didn't want him getting away. But flattery will get you everywhere."

"Wow." Sebastian started to laugh. "You really are something." He said through his chuckles. "But if you really want him to not get away, you should worry about that one." He pointed at Angelique. "She's your competition." He said, repeating his earlier words.

Diana knew that already but she decided to play dump. "Why do you say that? You realize he left her for me right?"

Sebastian snorted. "Yeah right." He didn't sound convinced. "Just watch out for her, she has her claws deep into him and not even you can stop her when she decides to come back for him."

Diana didn't know what to say that. "Why are you telling me this?"

Micheal leaned in and whispered into her ear, "I like you and I know my family, I don't want to see getting used or hurt." He pulled back from her and handed her a card with his details. "When you decide to talk about it, call me."

"I don't know what you think you know...."

"I know a lot more than you think and when you want to know everything about what you have gotten yourself into, call me." And with that he walked away from her, disappearing onto the dance floor.

Well that was interesting, Diana thought as she tucked his card into her dress.

"What the hell was that?" From out of nowhere Marcus was beside her, gripping her arm and he didn't sound happy.

"What?" Diana asked him irritatedly. "Will you let me go?"

"Why?" He asked angrily, dragging her to one of the empty rooms in Sienna's massive house. "You don't want your admirers to see with your husband? Because I'm your husband or have you already forgotten!" His voice was harsh.

"Are you out of your mind? I have been acting my part very well, if anyone has been straying it's you so I don't know what your problem is." She tried to shake off his grip but it was too strong.

"I saw you flirting with that lowlife Micheal!"

Oh, so that's why he was so agitated.

"I wasn't flirting with him and let me go!" She shouted and he finally did. "I don't know why you are complaining, you were all over your old friend. Do you see me throwing a fit?" Her voice was sarcastic. "No, because this is just acting!"

"Well, I'm glad you remember that you are acting because it's my reputation on the line and I won't have people talking about how loose my wife is!"

Without thinking it through Diana slapped him so hard across the face that it turned his head a little. "Don't call me loose!"

Marcus grabbed her, his fingers digging into her skin. "Don't ever hit me again!" He sounded very angry. "I won't tolerate it, ever."

"Well don't insult me, ever!" She yelled back even though she was a little scared of him at the moment.

For a moment they just looked at each other, anger radiating off of both of them. They were both enraged and breathing hard and it was intense.

Diana's heart was racing, she couldn't believe she had slapped him. She wasn't a violent person but something about Marcus brought out something in her, feelings she couldn't fathom.

Right now she was angry with him but she was also feeling something else, something she hadn't expected, she was turned on.

She didn't how or why but she wanted him. And the fact that he could be violent or aggressive with her didn't dial down her feelings, infact it just made her body ache for him more. Especially right now, when he was holding her so tightly that he was probably marking her body.

"Are you going to kiss me?" She blurted out breathlessly.

Marcus was dumbfounded, that was the last thing he expected to hear out of her mouth. "What?"

"I want you to kiss me." Diana told him, pressing herself against his crotch. "And from the looks of it you want to kiss me too."

Marcus instantly let go of her. "You are crazy." It's all he could think of saying. What the hell was going on with him? He normally had control over himself and his body but now this little girl was trampling all over his self control.

The girl grinned at him. "Maybe but your body certainly doesn't mind." She smirked at him, frustrating him more.

He started to say something, to prove to her that no, he didn't want her but the door to the room they were in opened before he could.

Princess Sienna aka Diana's now sister in-law walked in the guest room without even knocking but then again this was her house and she was a princess.

"I heard yelling." Sienna said as she approached the newlyweds.

"No we were just talking." Marcus told his sister as he straightened up.

"Well whatever you were doing, you were loud."

"Noted. Was that all?"

"No. It's time for you two to leave. The party is almost over and you must be tired, it's been a long day."

"I know I am." Diana mumbled. She hadn't realized how tired she was until Sienna mentioned it. Plus the fact that she wasn't all that excited about the fact that a princess was now her sister by law, meant that she was tired.

"You will leave through the back to avoid the paparazzi." She went on. "And I already told your guests you already left so there's no need to go back to the party."

"Is the car ready?" Marcus asked.

"Of course." His sister assured him. "I always take care of everything."

"Of course you do." Marcus held out his hand for his wife. "Shall we?"

Diana didn't need to be asked twice, she took his hand and they walked out together.
