Osiris’ pov

I was at the office when I felt the link of two pack members break. This usually meant someone had died.

I heard growls, I looked out my window and was mindlinked at the same time “they’ve got passed the border and are headed to the packhouse.”

I shifted and ran outside and jumped on the first rogue I saw. There were more than usual this time and they came from every direction. I mindlinked everyone who was available to fight and asked Jara what had happened.

“There were too many, border patrol was just Mike and Carol today and they were killed. I am sorry Alpha, I’ve should have added more guards.”

It wasn’t Jara’s fault, it had been quiet for almost a week after Arden and the other rogues had attacked us.

“That can wait Jara, we need to focus on making sure the rogues don’t go into the city. Kill however you need, but make sure you leave one of them alive.”
