Lily’s pov
I knew Osiris hated public speeches, but to be honest I hadn’t done many my self and I was so damn nervous. I had seen how people reacted when I talked in this pack and so far it wasn’t that great. “So this is your chance to show them what a Luna is supposed to sound like,” Arya encouraged. I wonder what happened to the Luna of this pack, did Alpha Kendrick even have a mate? I would have to ask Osiris about this later, because right now we were waiting for everyone to arrive before we took the stage. It was really last minute, so I don’t even know if you could call it a stage. They just placed to boxes on the ground to make people see us better. We might as well just used chairs at this point. I was too small even standing on a box to tower over some of the larger pack members, so I got two boxes stacked up. It felt like I was literally standing on a soapbox, but I had to do this for Osiris. I could do this.

Osiris’ pov Lily was raging beside me, clearly pissed that I let Neron and Jean off so easily. Santos was equally pissed and trying to take over “they hired the rogues. They hired Arden. Lily’s pov I was glad Dionne said yes, even though it was super awkward at first. I had just threatened her son and Osiris had banished him and stripped him of his title. I knew she understood why Osiris made this decision, but it must be hard for her. Everywhere we walked people stared at us, some with happiness as if they finally felt free from under Alpha Kendrick’s thumb. But I also saw plenty of pack members that looked at us with disgust, hatred or fear. I knew Osiris had a reputation of being a ruthless killer, but it never bothered me. Osiris’ pov Goddess, how I hate numbers. Riker is meticulous with our finances and he makes sure everything is easy for me to find. He has excel sheets and diagrams, everything to make it effortless for me. It is not that I don’t know how to do this, Beta William taught me when my parents died. Osiris’ pov “Alpha Osiris there is a large group of near the border. We are trying to keep them from escaping, but there are too many of them.” I knew Lily and Dionne would follow me wherever I headed so I ran to the location where my soldiers were as fast as possible. A group of wolves was fighting and I could see my soldiers were losing, so Lily and I jumped right in. This pack had already lost so many members, so I’d rather not kill more. Lily’s pov After Osiris finally put me down I dried off and put some clothes on. We had skipped dinner to fight and the apple pies were still in the kitchen. “All you think about is food,” Arya joked. I laughed “I can’t help it if the food here is so bland. I was finally able to eat something with sugar and stupid Gamma Leo ruined it with his people.” I was joking of course, although I really was hungry. I hated that some people still tried to rebel against us, when all we tried to do was make the pack better. We didn’t punish anyone that didn’t deserve it, Osiris even spared Neron’s and Jean’s life. Osiris’ pov It’s been two weeks since we’re back at the Iron River pack. Like Emma suggested we asked my grandmother if she wanted to help us run the Midnight Blood pack in our absence. She accepted, but only if she could get the help from Neron and Jean. Dionne really seems to trust them, but I just hoped they would follow her lead. I wasn’t fully convinced I made the right decision so I promised I’d be back by the end of the month to check on them. Lily wanted to join, but her brother’s birthday was that week and she had planned to go back with Emma to surprise him. So for the first time since she was back we would be apart again. But luckily it wouldn’t be for another two weeks so I was planning to make the most our time here. Now that the Midnight Blood pack was part of our pack we were the largest pack in the country and that title came with it’s responsibilities. I had been working a lot, finding out which of the Midnight Blood’s allies we could trust.

Lily’s pov I really loved this date so far. I felt guilty for being annoyed with Osiris before. I wasn’t sure if he actually was annoying or I was just too hormonal. Why didn’t anyone warn me that stop taking your pill would have such an impact. I didn’t trust my own feelings, I was angry all the time, I cried a lot and I was either really horny or not into sex at all. Luckily for Osiris I was feeling good today and this date really helped. After swimming in the ocean we got back to our clothes and I put my wet underwear off and my dress on. Seeing I wasn’t wearing any underwear made Osiris crazy, but he would have to wait. I wasn’t going to have sex on the beach and get sand everywhere. Osiris did the same thing and we carried our underwear to the car that wasn’t parked far away from where we swam. Lily’s pov I loved the date Osiris took me on. I guess I really needed it, or we needed it. We haven’t even been together this long, but so much has happened that it sometimes feel like we’ve had a lifetime together. Is that why I was acting this way around Osiris? I felt really guilt for being so moody, but I had been through so much and had barely had time to process everything. Maybe being away for a few days would help. Just celebrating my brother and not being a Luna for a while. I would miss Osiris, but absence makes the hard grow funder right? Or something like that. I’d rather have him with me. “You just need to get out of your head and have some fun” Arya said. She was right, I was painting again and that helped me get out of my head.
