Lily’s pov

I needed to do something. I knew April was going through so much, so I called Cyrus. He had actually been really worried about her, but she wasn’t responding that much to his calls and messages. I knew she liked him, I had seen it in her face, had heard it in her voice.

I was so happy when it worked. Cyrus seemed to get April to feel better. He was a funny guy, swore a lot, but I saw he was really sweet. I had seen humans, but I had never been friends with one or dated one. I couldn’t imagine it, but if it helped April heal. Why not?

Since April couldn’t work, I had to do more at the gallery than normal. Which means I had to get a babysitter for Asher. I could just ask Os to watch him, but he had a full time job too. And Asher was getting bigger, he was trying to walk and he was crawling everywhere. That boy could climb as well, so whenever you took your eye of him Asher was suddenly somewhere else doing something dangerous.

I think some of the wolves will feel better when they see that Cyrus is marked. He’ll no longer seem like a random human, he’s a wolf’s mate.

I hope they accept Cyrus and I hope the pack understands that not all humans are bad. And I think it would be nice if Ishaan and his family joined the pack and be accepted. Ishaan will be able to help April.
