Meadow’s pov
It was very strange when Chris shook my hand, the first time we met. I felt something like that before with my first mate. It couldn’t be sparks right? If I hadn’t known about Charlotte, I probably wouldn’t even thought about it.
It didn’t matter anyway. How much I went to therapy and how much better I was feeling, I still had that voice inside my head that said I was dirty and damaged goods.
When Chris moved here I suspected it had something to do with me, but it couldn’t right? No one was crazy enough to move to another pack for me. April mindlinked me, telling me Cyrus was under attack. I quickly shifted and left Asher with some of the elderly, they might be old, but I knew they would defend Asher with their lives.
