Osiris’ pov

I wasn’t sure if sending one of the border patrol would scare Ariel even more, but I couldn’t just let her run away and be hurt. It was fine if she wanted to leave, but I wanted to make sure she had somewhere to go first.

“Don’t interact with her, just follow her.” I told the guards.

I didn’t want to scare her by finding her as a wolf, so I brought some pants with me and shifted. When I had found her scent it wasn’t hard to follow her. I shifted back and ran towards Ariel.

“Ariel. Are you okay?”

“Is that the best you can do?” Santos asked, but honestly, what else could I say?

Ariel shook her head, “I shouldn’t have come here. It’s going to be even worse here. Please don’t hurt me. Just make it quick.”

I was confused, “why should I kill you?”

Ariel was pacing and looking more scared than ever. “You don’t understand. I didn’t know. I wasn’t my choice.”

“I don’t know what you’ve heard about the Iron River pack, but we don’t just kill people here.”

Hope you liked the chapter. will write more tonight if I can. My leg is doing a bit better, but not as much as I wanted to. Sitting is fine, but walking is painful and sleeping is difficult, because I can't find the right position. I'll be fine though, it's just annoying.
