CHAPTER 5. The Maze.

ROSEANNA

I can't believe in what just happened. One minute he is this caring and nice guy. But the next minute, what I just saw was very scary. Even though I am immune to anger, his was not normal. His eyes were releasing fire that I can burn in. He understood everything. 

Wait, is he going to-? 

No! He will not tell Ace or Remmo brothers? Will he? He wouldn't have if I apologized but, the way I just ran out. It seems impossible to convince him. I was at a distant from maze room. As I was wondering why he didn't came out. Is he waiting for me to reach him again? Yes! I should. Maybe, that's what will be right. If I just go back again and apologize to him. And practically beg him for not telling brothers. Maybe things will be fine. 

Even if not, just get on your knees Roseanna, you can't afford hurting shelly aunt again. Just beg him to let go of it. I wonder to myself, as I made my mind to go back inside and beg Kashton to never tell brothers about what he found. My steps were slow and they weren't moving fast even if I tried, as the eyes and his fury filled face ce in front of me. "No! Rose you can't do that to yourself." I screamed to myself. As I looked up at the door. "It's okay. Let's go." again repeating to take my self together in it. 

I slowly walked inside when I couldn't find his trace anywhere. Where did he go, but then I saw his at one place, I ran towards thier, and ended up colliding on the mirror. "Mr. Raven," I said, when I did heard his voice from behind me. But I was still confused because of the mirror, where his reflections were. 

"I can understand, what you demand from your wife. I totally do. What happened between me and Vellore-"

"Right, I am Mr.Raven and he is Vellore?" he asked me from literally nowhere. When I tried to follow the trace of voice which was different. 

"I am used to calling him that, I still need to gather alot of courage to call you just... By your name." I tried to calm him, when his reflection tuned into a smirk. 

"Why, did you come back, when you ran away?" he asked me suddenly, as I took deep breath to speak. "I promise you, that I will be loyal to only you if things turned out as the elderly are planning. In any case scenarios." I said as I waited for his response. When his visuals from the mirror dissapeared. "Mr. RAVEN?!" I screamed as I turned to look around the other side, "Mr. Raven?!" Again as I kept rolling here and thier, tried to look for him to the otherside of the maze room. "Kashton!" I yelled and suddenly his face came in sight in the mirror closest to me. And I freaked out, taking my steps face and to fall but a hand catched me. And the real him was in front of me now. 

"Careful." he said, as he laughed. And I stood from his hands and walked few steps away from him. 

"You're a jerk!" I screamed, as I hit his face with a slap, his face face slightly turned as then he again looked up at me.

"I came back, to beg you that please don't tell anyone about me and Vellore. Because that will put aunt Shelly, Lia and Rick in problem. But you are too cruel for any kind of mercy." I gritted with a tear slipping from my eyes, as I tried to get out of the maze room. But, directions? 

Don't tell me, that I am stuck in here, with this man? 

I was stuck at my place, thinking where should I go,"Take first left and then third right, you will find the directions you drew." he spoke with his husky voice, as I did what he said. I took the first left and then third right and did got the directions I drew earlier. I followed them back, and walked out of the maze room. 

When I was back to the hallway again, little far from him, I saw Vellore on my way in the middle. He saw me walking fast in panic and his upset face turned into worries. He came to me jogging. 

No! I can't let him see us together again, his words that he will too torture aunt Shelly, I decided I'd rather turn and ran the other side. As I took a different hallway and ran upstairs. I walked on rooftop as I sat at the edge of the roof at the backside. Since there are people on the front side at ground who can see me. 

I looked out at the people who were happy and smiling. 

I was here in this house I won't say I was happy but I still managed to steal some smiles from here and there. But what about where I am being taken away. Will there be something I can smile about. His face his reaction was just like Brother s. Or that even if was speaking words it felt like he was throwing arrows at me. 

I don't want to go. 

"Are you going to keep running from me? This won't hide the fact what you did."I heard a Voice from behind which sounded like. 

Vellore. 

"What are you doing here. If someone will see you. They will bury you dead. And not to mention, if Kashton saw us." I said worried, as the sweatbeads slipped from my forehead. 

"He found out didn't he? " He asked me randomly as I couldn't ignore the question so I nodded. "Isn't it obvious? The way he recalled you whenever he mentioned me earlier? And then you screaming my name in the green House. It's already out." I told him, when he sighed. 

"He is quick-witted. Did he hurt you?" he asked me, as I raised my head to meet his eyes. 

"Not physically." I said, as he again sighed. "He is not the type to hurt woman. But he is not very fond of them either. Be careful, I'd say. He can ruin someone's sane mind." he took his side but then he told his reality.

"I just had a taste of it." I murmured inside my mouth but I am sure he heard me. "I know I can't stop you from doing this, marrying Kashton for the sake of your self and the others you care about. But I rather blame myself for the fact that I didn't do what I should have. I should have asked him for your hand first from your brothers." he said as my eyes widen and I stood from my seat. 

"You know you can never do it? " I asked him, as he nodded. "Myabe because I don't have enough power and money to buy him from them." he sad laughed as I squished my eyes, "Vellore I know I'm basically cheating on you by marrying someone else-"

"I know your spot Roseanna. I said, I don't blame you for any of it. I have seen the wounds your brothers have gave you and others. I'm not angry on you. I'm just angry that I missed the chance, I didn't knew where we was going until I reached your home. Or I would have at least told Kashton. So he wouldn't have agreed with them for me." he again regretted everything. 

"Would he have? " I asked him as what I just saw a moment before didn't matched well with what he was saying right now. 

"He might come out as a jerk sometimes but he is not much of a jerk. "

"Really?? He just threaten me if I will look at you he will plug out eyes of Shelly  aunt " I asked him totally disagreeing with him.

"That's because he has obsession everything that is his"

"That excuse doesn't makes him ant less of an asshole." I yelled at him. "And at least for the sake of our past relationship, don't you feel hurt for me? Instead of consoling me. You taking sides of that boss of yours ?" I asked him getting mad at him as he laughed how can he laugh at this. 

"You are cute "

"Fuck you Vellore." I really hate him. Is he really counselling me to make me believe that he is nice guy. Yeah he is. I just had a trailer of that. 

I walked away from roof as I came down and went in my room as it was filled with flowers. From up to down. Left to right. So many flowers. 

I looked around at the flowers as-

"WOAHHHHH!!!!!! "Lia  screamed in my ear from behind. "Which one in the two send this? " she asked me still in my ears. 

I turned back to ask her for not speaking like this but she already continued before me. " I saw him going on roof after you, don't you think, you guys need to be careful? " She said as I realised and that she ran near one of the bouquet as she handed me. 

"This one has a card. Read it "She said as she forcefully handed me the card and asked me to read it.

It was Kashton  . He send these many flowers in such a short time. When u was just on the rooftop for ten to fifteen minutes. As if instantly regretted what he did.

"What does it says? " she asked me as I looked at her. 

"You are unlike this flowers. You are more ugly " I said to her as she got confused. 

"Who says that after buying so many flowers. She got angry as she sat on the bed. "I'm kidding. He said I'm sorry." I told her when she frowned. 

"Nothing." I said, when she came to be and started to ring "Tell me, tell me" 

"No! Lia. Get out of here." I got angry, I don't even know why? I never do that. But she got hurt as she stormed out of the room with anger. Not that she can do anything about this. 

As I looked around.

What a mess.  What will I do with so many flowers. I roam around all the flowers as I smelled each of them as I saw a box in the middle of one bouquet. 

I took the boy out as I opened it and it had a beautiful thin chain with a pendent necklace. The pendent had Ruby written on it. 

Ruby?  Did it got deliverd to the wrong address?  Why would it have someone else name. 

"Roseanna madam. Another helper asked me as I looked at her. And she told me that I was asked to be present in the chat room. As I nodded. 

I kept the box under the pillow as I walked towards the place everyone talks about stuff as I saw everyone else were present there. I walk inside as I saw Ace Brother  was now standing. 

"Engagement will be down now. Than we will send her with you. As you already said wedding will be after four years. After she passes her graduation."

"There is more " Kashton  said out of blue before Brother  could have completed what he was saying. 

"More? " Remmo Brother  asked already disagreeing with his eyes. 

"I will change her name. I want it to be Ruby not Roseanna. " He said and before he could continue I yelled. 

"No!!! " before any one could have said anything or agree with this bullshit. I revolted. "It's my mother's name and the last thing I own I will never change it. " I said to him as he looked at me astonish. 

As he stood up and took a few steps ahead. 

"Isn't your all mothers name Gabrielle? " he asked me as I realised what is this about. 

He doesn't knows who I am.
