Chapter 34

(Ethan’s POV)

           

The sun had just set, but no Izobel came to the tent. Since I came back here, I knew this tent out in the woods was her sanctuary I had intruded on. Despite that, she allowed me to set my foot here, which has become our meeting place.  

Sighing deeply, I went out of the tent and sat on the folding chair where I would usually see her sitting, wondering why she would always face this direction. The chair has never moved in any direction like it has been fixed here.

Sitting on the chair, I finally understood why she loved it here. My mouth half-opened as I gasped, seeing the beauty of the sun slowly hiding in the sky. The shutting out of light exploded the sky with vibrant colors of orange, golden-yellow like Izobel’s eyes, and red, looking like fire like what I was feeling for her.
