Hayley cried to herself that night, hating herself for trying to pretend as if her parents hadn't just die.

She hated how she was nonchalant most of the time, which now made her seemed uncaring.

Her parents were the best people she knew in the pack, and they didn't deserve to die.

She rolled to her back, using the end of Kane’s shirt that she was wearing to wipe her nose.

And soon, she drifted off into a deep sleep. Not dreaming of anything.

Hayley's own snores woke her up. She jumped up, opened her eyes, but immediately closed them again. Her eyes felt puffy, and the sunlight that was streaming in felt painful on her iris.
