Chapter 39- Livia, the witch

The sun was painting the frontier with its last painful brightness when Lily battled to jerk the agonizing cobwebs out of her head.

Freaking hell. She felt as if she’d been hit by a concrete bus. At last, ignoring the bursts of agony in the back of her head, she forced open her reluctant eyes. Well, sh*t. She should have kept them closed.

"She surveyed her surroundings. She was not in the tent anymore. No one in sight. "Oh my God." She panicked. Where the hell was Rhye?

Not that pretending this was all a disastrous nightmare would change the fact that she was presently tied to a tree with chains that held enough tightness to sap her strength and leave raw burns on her skin. Or that she’d been moved from the camp tent to one of the small islands covered in trees and underbrush that dotted the middle of the stream.
