I had heard stories from my grandfather and some of my great uncles about a fae so powerful that no other fae or person with magic could touch them. Those stories were told to us as children and for all intense and purposes were myths. They were mainly used as bedtime stories. Grandfather told me that it has been well over a thousand years since a fae with that much power was born. I was considerably older than both Luke and Aliya. The family was aware that Luke was fairly powerful when he was born but we also knew that his powers would manifest later since for some weird reason male fae didn’t acquire their powers until they were older. When Aliya was born, we all knew right then that she was beyond powerful. When great-great-aunt Belinda informed us that Aliya was that one in a thousand-year fae we were all shocked, I knew that Deliah was proud of her but we could all tell that Aliya’s dad was not as thrilled.
