Alpha Ian Fullerton of The Rebel Rogues, looked up from his desk when he heard a knock on the door of his office. He ordered the one knocking on the door to come in and he saw that it was his beta, Anthony Madison.
Anthony is a tall, muscular-built guy with dark hair and dark eyes. He has a scar on his face, running from the bottom of his right eye down to his chin. He looks formidable alone with that look and he had used it to his advantage.
“Langston has just returned,” Anthony informed after he closed the door. “He’s waiting outside and wants to speak to you.”
Ian leaned back on his chair, clasping his hands in deep thought.
“How is he?”
“He’s still hungry for power,” Anthony answered seriously. “The disgrace and banishment that he received from his pack seems to be the one fueling his drive for it. If I was on his shoes, I would rather be killed than having that trademark for the rest of my life.”
“That’s why I still don’t understand your reason why you decided to accept him and his followers to our pack five years ago,” he added, looking at his alpha. “We don’t need members, who will eventually betray us in the end. Langston has that trait in him.”
“Let me take care of that, Tony,” Ian assured as he stood up. He went to the window of his office, which has a full view of the training site. “For now, the pack needs his hunger for power. It will be beneficial to us. Let him come in once you leave.”
Ian waited until he could smell the young wolf’s scent when he entered his office.
“Did your plan succeed?” He asked calmly.
“Yes, Alpha,” the firm and cold voice of Conrad Langston replied a few seconds after. “I’m pretty sure that my brother has received the message that I sent him.”
“Good to know,” Ian commented, and he turned towards him. He looked patiently at the thirty-year-old disgrace son of his long-time foe, Theo Langston of The Night Howlers, who came to his pack and sought refuge years ago. “Don’t be complacent and you continue what you need to do. Do you have any idea why he went towards the human territory?”
Conrad nodded.
“From what my men had gathered, it has something to do with the prophecy that we have been hearing,” he answered slowly. “My brother seems to be looking for that wolf less girl and he thinks that she is hiding in human territory.”
“So, I’ve heard,” Ian muttered as he sat back on his chair. He gestured for the young wolf to occupy the vacant seat in front. “That prophecy has long been foretold and up to now there is still no update about it except that it was turned into a story. Suddenly, your brother became interested.”
“I encountered another wolf there, Alpha,” Conrad then brought up. “A female wolf, who seemed to have no idea that we existed.”
Ian looked at him sharply.
“How sure are you that she has wolf blood?!” He scoffed.
“Her scent was very domineering,” Conrad explained patiently. “She managed to turn and looked into my eyes and for a while I was hooked by her gaze.”
“Could she be your new mate?” Ian asked.
Conrad shook his head.
“There was no connection but my mind my screaming that I can make her mine if I want to. She’s young and had a refreshing scent, Alpha,” he described calmly. “And, she had crystal blue eyes and long white hair.”
Ian immediately looked up at the description. The description of the hair made his mind immediately wandered to a certain pack that he knows only them can possess. “I’ll have Anthony look into that,” he said after a while. “But, for now, I want you to take ten of your men and head South. The Beta of The Savage Keepers will meet with you for our next raid.”
“Yes, Alpha,” Conrad replied. “I will take my leave now. Thank you for this opportunity to prove myself to you.”
The older man only waved him off and immediately linked with his Beta. “Tony, I want you to head North along with three of our best warriors,” he instructed. He thought for a while, his thoughts of the things he heard about the prophecy and what Conrad had told him. “And send another three to human territory where the brothers had met.”
“For what reason, Alpha?” Anthony replied.
“Looks like the prophecy we had been hearing will finally come to fruition.”
Clayton could not remember how long he was asleep or unconscious the moment that whatever was administered to his body took over and lose the fight for control of trying to stay alert. But, now that he had regained his consciousness, he felt his strength returning and he can finally move his hands and feet without feeling heavy. He tried rising but he can still feel his body aching from the attack. Finally giving up, Clayton remained lying on the bed he is on and let the medicine do its work in his body so he can be able to recover and heal fast.He needs to return to his pack.He finally was able to open his eyes and he realized that he is inside of what look like a small hospital room. There’s a counter with a sink to his right and some medical accessories that will be needed for any dressing of wounds. There’s also a small basin and a sponge beside some toiletries.Could not be able to sit up, Clayton raised his arms to check on the injurie
“Hey, let me out of here!”The minute Clayton was conscious again, he started struggling from the handcuffs that was placed around both of his wrists and tied to the bed railings. He tried to break from him, using his strength but somehow, he could not. He started shouting from his room but there wasn’t anyone who came to check on him.“Hello?! I’m f8cking sure that you can hear me out there!! Get me out of here, you f8cking as$holes!” He shouted angrily. “I demand that you release me immediately or you will suffer the consequences!”He tried transforming into Kragen but could not even do it.He even tried linking with Liam, but somehow, whatever that was injected in him prevented him from doing that as well. Clayton cursed loudly so that he could be heard.“It’s best you conserve your strength,” an amused and dry voice finally replied. “The sedative is still in your system. Tr
Clayton paced back and forth inside his office, his mind getting restless as well as his body. He stopped for a few minutes before resuming his actions, closing his eyes, and bending his head in deep thought. It has been three weeks since he was discharged from the clinic by that Matthew Slade, and he did what he was being asked of much to his frustration. He remembered lingering at the clinic’s waiting area despite being discharged early, when Amarah, her real name, finally coming in through the front door after Matt.“Amarah,” he stated softly. To his discontent, Amarah stepped behind an amused Matt for her protection and hid herself. He noted that she had a scarf wrapped around her neck and her eyes reflected fear when she looked towards him. The last thing he wanted her to feel if she is around him is fear. But, because of what he did, he somehow instilled that on her.“Amarah, please know that I didn’t mean to hurt you l
Amarah opened the cabinet, which contains the clinics stock of medical supplies and started counting them for their usual monthly inventory on a not so busy Friday morning. She counted the number of boxes of surgical gloves they have left and wrote it down on the paper pinned to a clipboard she is holding. She then proceeded checking and counting the saline solution bottles. After two hours of doing inventory, she went back to the reception lobby and proceeded to her computer to start on her report.“Hey, would you mind doing this for me as well?” Tracy Sutton quipped.Amarah looked at the document being handed to her.“Isn’t that supposed to be your task to do?” She asked patiently as she open a new file and started encoding the standard format. “Matt will be reprimanding you again if he finds out that I did your report like I did last month.”“Like, please stop telling me that, Arah,” T
Clayton sat stiffly on his chair inside a small, quaint restaurant while rubbing the back of his head, where the clipboard Amarah hit him with, to ease the soreness he felt. He looked hardly at Matt, who went with them to prevent any further harm to him, trying to control his laughter over what happened. He looked across the table at Amarah. His Amarah, who just whacked him on the head with a clipboard that she had been holding since he followed her in to where she was being checked, as he was kissing her inside the clinic. The woman the damn doctor beside him said that she could not even hurt a fly and Clayton believed it. Right now, she is staring angrily at him, like daggers are shooting out of her eyes.Shocking Amarah with his bold action, Clayton held her by her chin as he bent down and kissed her deeply, sending her a message that he will make her his. She struggled from him but his hands on her waist and chin prevented her from doing that. Her full, red
Amarah opened the door to the small apartment building that she is staying in that night, where she was told had belonged to Gloria’s father. Since she turned eighteen, she could not hide her glee when Jacklyn had told her that she will finally be getting her own unit. She finally got to have her independence.Ever since she was young, as far as she can remember, Amarah always had to have either Jacklyn or Gloria wherever she goes. Permissions had always been required and she remembered waiting several days to know if it is granted. She knew deep down that Jacklyn must coordinate everything with her father, whom she only gets to meet once every year, during her birthday together with her mother. Her parents would spend the entire day with her, lavishing and buying her with whatever things she would want.Amarah had grown up not being used for all frivolities despite her parents giving her whatever she asks especially on her birthday. Every year, whe
“How many have recovered?”Clayton looked at his Beta grimly with his blood-shot eyes, tired and heavy from the border patrol that he has been dedicated in doing to protect his pack. Ever since he received news from his patrollers of threats from rouges, he had been so adamant in guarding the safety of his pack. It’s been more than three weeks since the threat to his territory had started. Clayton suspected that his brother might somehow had been behind these threats by allying the pack he had entered with other rogue packs. Apparently, hearing him survived that attack made him alternate his plans.Conrad is still set in overtaking the pack and take his place as the rightful alpha.“Most of them already did,” Liam assured as he looked at his friend carefully. “You look like shit, Clayton. Are you getting enough rest? Look, for the past five years, our pack has gotten stronger, and most had started fearing us. You made t
Amarah looked up from the patient’s record at the small office behind the reception counter, that she is encoding when she heard the bell, installed above on their main door, dinging on a Wednesday morning. Before getting up to check, she groaned inwardly when she heard no trace of Tracy greeting the customer formally.“You’re really proving that you’re a saint, Arah,” she muttered as she placed down her pen and stood up. She patted down her soft and plain blue dress with a boat neckline to get rid of any wrinkles before checking to see who entered. “She ditched you once again to be with that new guy she’s obsessed about.”She stopped dead on her tracks when she saw the person at the other side of the counter.“Dad!”Amarah could feel tears at the back of her eyes as she quickly walked around the counter and threw her arms around her father’s neck and hugged him tightly.Gavin Savill
