Damien’s POV

“You do?” I was suspicious and understandably so. Kendra hadn’t taken any time to discuss it, all she had done was look at her friend as Irina apologised and agreed with what we were asking.

She nods her head, “You guys always think things happen for a reason.” She looks over at Liam, “What is it you always say, ‘it’s what the Moon Goddess intended.”

I look at Liam too, he was one of the few remaining wolves that believed in that, many others now believed in their own fates and your own actions were what made it.

Liam bows his head to me. “Alpha, she has made her decision and we will do what you ask, for the benefit of the pack right?”

“For the benefit of the pack.” I agreed and Liam wipes away Kendra’s tears.

I was still suspicious though and if it had been the other way around, I don’t think I or Irina would have given up looking for the children.

“If you are certain, I will give the witch a call!”

Uh oh! Remember Raine had a temper. She trusted Kendra too. Like a snake in the grass and Raine feels like she was bit!
