Chapter 3

The Alpha moved forward to help the pack doctor up. Although he had no idea what was wrong with him, all he could guess was that he had a familial relationship with the person on the bed.

Abraham did not know how to feel right now. He felt like the only hope of family he had left had been destroyed by himself. If only he had been here a little earlier, this would not have happened. He wouldn't have loosed his only son that he was just told that he is dead. He stood up deadpanned and faced the guards that were on duty and the Alpha.

“Who amongst you came to my courtyard today?” he asked.

Everyone just looked at him like he was speaking Spanish. First, he went silent for a little period and now asking this question. It seems like the doctor himself needs to be checked.

“Answer me, who came to my house just this evening to tell me my son is dead?! My last hope is dead! Someone came in amongst you and said it to me while I was busy cooking and awaiting his return.”Abraham shouted and faced the Alpha.

He no longer remembered himself being high and mighty. All he wanted now was that person to be fished out and punished. If not for that news, he would not have talked to the Alpha like that or lost his last son.

“Your highness, someone came to me and told me my son is dead this evening. It was when the attack started, a few minutes into it. I swear on my life someone came and said it. If you all don't find that person and bring him out, I would make sure that you all die in this place this night!”Abraham said as he growled loudly and shifted to his wolf form.

The Alpha growled immediately back at him. This made his wolf bow down to the Alpha immediately. The Alpha moved closer to his wolf form and stared hard at him.

“You get to what you were called here for this instant and treat those people. If a life is loosed, I will cut your head off before you are able to see the sunrise tomorrow morning and make sure at least three of them show changes. You would not want to hear the consequences of that if they don't.” the alpha said to him authoritatively.

“You knew about this, didn't you? You knew one of my sons was still alive and told someone to give me the fake news. You are a worthless leader.” the pack doctor shouted throughout the room.

The room went quiet for a minute. Everyone with their own thoughts. The Alpha looked at the doctor eye to eye before replying him.

“I don't care what you call me. You better get to what you are here for before I show you how worthless I can be. You would not want to see the other side of me.” the alpha said in his domineering voice.

He made a silent growl in understanding and shifted back to his wolf form. He moved to the next person that was injured and laid on the bed and started checking the wounds. The Alpha stayed in there for a bit before leaving to go to his room. The exhaustion of all this days has finally caught up with him. Not being able to sleep or do anything, the fear of something attacking them, and his people losing respect for him. Everything was taking a significant amount of space in his brain and body and it was getting tiring for him.

He walked into his room and lied on the bed for a minute. He badly needed sleep at the moment but he could not leave his guards alone doing all the duties. He had to be with them butcher was no one that could wake him up after some time. He lost his beta During the attack and since then he has not gotten the time to pick another one apart from Malcolm who was the guard and his most trusted one. He stood up from the bed and decided it was time for the moon goddess to intervene.

He summoned her by calling her name thrice but she made no appearance. He waited for a little while before calling her again but without no reply. He was on his way to the bathroom when he felt a domineering presence in his room. He turned to come in face with the moon goddess. She was in an overflowing white garment and her hair was done in two braids. This made her look like a bridesmaid bit he knew better than that. He bowed down to her and waited until she talked before he lift his head up.

“You knelt to an ordinary pack member, ”she started with.

“I had no choice, your majesty. I could not leave the other guards to die.” he said.

“Trevor, you are reducing in numbers and your people are starting to disrespect you. What do you want to do about this attack?” the moon goddess asked.

“I need your help now.” Trevor, the alpha said.

“What kind of help do you want?”the moon goddess asked him.

“Lead me, tell me what to do. I am ready for anything.” he said.

The moon goddess looked at him and could feel how tired he was. He made a strong Alpha but he has a weak character.

“You are to small for what you have to do. You have no guards nor people of the pack. Soon they will all turn their backs on you. You have to look for more people to join you.”she said.

“Look for people like how your majesty?” he asked.

The moon goddess floated up from where she was sitting. She kept quiet for a long period while staring at him in the eye before she finally talked.

“It is a journey...” she started.
