Chapter 5

David told the pack doctor exactly what the Alpha said to him before leaving making the doctor shake his head. Although the value he received from being the lack doctor was great on a normal circumstance but since the time of this attack, he has done nothing other than treat people and the Alpha threatening him. It was starting to wear him out and made him grow grey hair when he is not even yet that age. He resumed his work and did it fast as he could so he would be able to get out of this place quicker.

•••••••••••••

Justin was in his room pacing back and forth. He was both angry and frustrated. He felt like catching those people that were behind this and tearing their heads off their bodies. He had loosed more than he could sacrifice making him scared of the fate of their pack. He continued to pace back and forth thinking of where it all went wrong but could not find anything. It all just started at the beginning of the year when his father died. He had no idea who these people are nor which pack they are from. They had proved to be more smarter than them leaving no room and chance to find them at all.

The elders also removed their support from his back because they could not bear with him leading the pack the way he does and also not obeying them. He did all he could do on his own and not by the help of anyone. He closed his eyes to meditate when he felt the overwhelming presence of someone with him in the room. He opened his eyes to find the moon goddess in a purple attire. She was already sitting on top of the chair he reserved for himself only and it was like she had something important to say.

“Good day, your highness.” he greeted.

“You have come to be better and good Alpha for the pack but you can't keep control of your emotions if something happens. The is could be the end of your pack if it continued to go this way. You don't trust anyone and you make everything difficult for all the subordinates. Keep control of your emotions whenever you are angry or too happy most especially the angry ones.” the moon goddess started with.

Justin bowed down apologetically. He had been told this right before he became the Alpha but all that was happening was driving him insane making him not know what to do anymore. And because of this, he had no time keeping himself in check. He just wanted to find a solution to it so badly and get out of this problem.

“I am so sorry about that your highness. The stress of the attack has been wearing me out lately and I hardly have time to reflect on myself. We were attacked four times in five days without knowing where it all came from and we keep on losing the lives of our guards. These attackers are killing us without leaving a trace of where they come from. I can't trust anyone because I am not sure of who to trust. They can all turn their back against me at any time.” he said to the moon goddess.

“That's true but now you have to watch your back yourself then,” she said to him.

“And also with your brain and not your power only,” she added.

“Thank you, your highness,” he said.

They have kept quiet for a long time. Justin wanted to say something but did not know how to say it to her. The moon-goddess was waiting for what he had to say. She knew he had something to say and know what it is all about but wanted to hear it from him.

“We need your help, your highness.” he said.

“For what?”she asked hum.

“The attack is getting out of control. I don't know where to face anymore. Or who to call anymore. We have traced them but they all seem untraceable.” he said

The moon goddess looked at him before talking.

“All? What do you mean all? Are you under a lot of attacks?” she asked him.

“Yes, your highness. We can't as if it is a pack that keeps on attacking us like this. It could be multiple.” he said.

Justin never failed to amaze the moon goddess. She floated up from where she was seated but sat down again.

“So tell me, what should I do for you now that your pack is under an anonymous attack?” she asked.

“Tell me who they are and leave the rest to me,” he said smugly.

It was time for the moon goddess to leave. She floated up and looked at him.

“You can't do it alone. You need to join hands with other packs. Find the red roger pack and the Purple Front pack. Only those two packs can help you with this attack. You Al have three days to come together if you don't want to lose more lives than this.” she said before vanishing into thin air.

Justin was shocked. She was asking him to join hands with two inferior packs, one still better than the other. He has never been one to join hands with other packs in anything. The purple front pack was still manageable but the red roger pack was out of it. He could not imagine himself with those packs. Would they come to meet him or he has to go to them? He only wished the moon goddess could give him another pack that could match his power instead of the red roger pack. He still has his pride even if his pack was under a no-ending crisis. He heard a knock at his door and told the person to come in.

The guard board immediately before looking up at the alpha.

“Sir, your attention is needed at the border.” the guard said.

Justin sighed in frustration. He just hoped that it was not another pile of dead and injured bodies he was going to meet there.
