Chapter 8

Sophia stepped out of the bathroom with a towel tied around her body m, water dripping out of her hair and her cheeks rosy red. She walked to her wardrobe and took a red robe out. She put it on and went to sit on the chair the moon goddess just stood from. She took out the hairdryer and plugged it to the socket.

“Were you talking to someone when I was in the bathroom?”she asked Ballack.

Ballack who was lost in his thought was just gazing at the ceiling with his arms placed beneath his head did not know she was back from the bathroom not to talk of hearing her say something to him. It was not until she turned on the hairdryer that he was  pulled out of his reverie.

Sophia pulled out a part of her hair, positioning the hairdryer to that side.

“Did you not hear what I said?”she asked him again.

Ballack got down from the bed and went to where she was. He collected the hairdryer from her and helped her to dry hair at the back of her head where her hand could not reach.

“What did you say honey?” he asked her as he pat the hair at the back.

Sophia rolled her eye and pressed her lips together. What was he thinking about that he did not hear  anything she said?

“A penny for your thought?” she asked him, looking at him from the mirror.

Ballack concentration was on her hair. As he dried it, he took out a comb and helped her comb it to the back.

“Im alright darling.” he replied her without looking up.

“Were you talking to someone while I was away?”she repeated.

“Oh.. Yes. The moon goddess was here.” Ballack said as if he was just realizing it.

He stopped his hand that was on the hair for a moment and looked at her through the mirror.

“Darling, when last have gone for a vacation?” Ballack inquired from her.

Sophia raised her eyebrows, looking at him from the mirror. Her upper lips were curved upwards. She did not like where this was heading towards.

“It has been long.” she replied him, still looking at him from the mirror.

Ballack smiled at her and stared deeply into her blue eyes from the mirror.

Sophia eyes widened, sitting up immediately. She shook her head hurriedly as she looked at him back in the mirror

“No..no...Ballack don't say...” Sophia said still shaking her head.

“Baby, we are going on a vacation.”Ballack said triumphantly.

“No..no..no. We are not going on a vacation Ballack. You've been assigned to something.”she cried out.

She turned to him with a cute furious look.

“And you better not include me in it.” she said as she stood up, walking away and swinging her hips.

Ballack turned towards her, grinning like a fool. He just loves it when she understands him without him saying it all. He hurriedly stood up from his seat and chased after her.

“Sophia, wait.” he shouted.

••••••••••••

It was a silent morning at the red roger pack. Trevor was on his seat, lost in his thoughts. His right hand was placed on the handle of the seat, while he rested his chin on it. A guard was at hisback, his sword by his hand. Trevor had just sent for Malcolm some minutes ago, bur he was still not hear. He was contemplating whether to tell him about what the moon goddess said to him or he should just keep it to himself. But there was no way he could go about it without telling anyone.

Malcolm arrived wearing a black trouser and an armor on it. He knelt on one knee and used the mouth of his sword as the other.

“You called for me, your highness.” he said with his head bowed in his position.

Trevor looked at him and ordered him to stand. He had met with the moon goddess again the other night and she had told him he had to meet with the other pack within three days. He looked at the guards that were in their guard stance and signaled with his eyes for them to leave the room for he and Malcolm. He stood up from where he was seated after the guards walled out. Trevor started pacing back and forth, thinking of what he can do on the issue.

“Malcolm.” he called out.

“Your highest.”Malcolm said and bowed his head.

Trevor continued to walk back and forth without saying anything after that. His eyebrow were pulled together, with his hands folded at his back. Malcolm just stood there wondering what could be wrong with their Alpha.

“I need to visit the blue Britain pack.” Trevor said out suddenly.

“And the Purple Front pack.” he added.

Malcolm heart stopped for a moment when he heard it. He looked at the Alphas face and saw that he was serious about it.

“T..to do w..what, your highness.” he asked.

Trevor went back to his seat and sat down. He took his stick, rested the tip on the ground before placing his hands on it.

“The moon goddess asked me too. She said they only them can help us with the attack.” Trevor said looking at Malcolm.

Malcolm scratched his head awkwardly. He looked at the Alpha who was also looking at him without having an idea in what to say. The two packs he talked about where known to be the strongest of all packs especially the blue Britain pack. If the moon goddess was asking them to meet them, was it not like embarrassing themselves in front if them, he thought.

“Okay your highness. When are you leaving?” Malcolm asked.

“This morning. How about the pack doctor?” Trevor inquired.

“He left for his house this morning. His eyes were swollen when I went to check on him this morning. He took all his equipment with him when he was going.” Malcolm replied still scratching his head.

“Y..your highness,” he stuttered.
