SIXTY ONE

                  I opened my eyes. My cheek was pressed against something cold. I forced my eyes to open. I saw logs burning and people sitting around it. It was huge and in the shape of a pentacle. The flames were so tall that I could it above their heads too. I could feel the slight heat. But the cool wind made it worse. My body trembled when I saw bars. 

     I pushed myself up, jamming my hands against the cold metal. I heard laughter. My gaze drifted around. I was caged. The mocking, monstrous faces looked at me. Dread rolled through my belly. I drew in a sharp breath when I felt a sharp pain at the side of my head. A hand waved and I saw dark smoke in the air. 

      I fall back on the metal ground. I tried but I couldn't gather the strength to sit. I held my hand to my temple. It hurt when my fingers pressed softly.
