Have you ever wondered what you have done so bad, to warrant the treatment and pain you endure in life? I have, lately that’s all I seem to do. Constantly wonder what I did wrong. For most packs, when the Luna finally gives the Alpha a child they rejoice. However, sadly not in my case. 

Alpha Trevor Teller and Luna Amber have tried for years to conceive. Finally after five years Luna Amber felt different.

“I don’t know Maria. This time I have a feeling, yes this time it will be positive.” Amber said beamingly.

“I hope so, the Alpha is beginning to grow impatient. You know how much he craves an heir.” Maria stated sympathetically.

Both friends hold hands praying to the Moon Goddess, in hopes this time she was pregnant.

“Has it been long enough yet?” Amber asked nervously.

Her best friend Maria glanced at the time and nodded.

“You look! I am too nervous.”

“OK.”

Maria walked into the bathroom to grab the pregnancy test of the counter. Upon first glance she only noticed one line. Her heart began to feel sad, she knew how much a baby meant to her friend. 

“Really Serene. You know if she doesn’t bear his child he will kick her out, and reject her.” Maria cursed.

With one last look at the test, she stood there frozen. No way. No freaking way! It was just negative. Maria ran back into the room happily.

“You did it!! Finally, our prayers have been heard. It’s positive.” Maria excitedly shouted.

“Shhh! I want to be the one to tell him. Let me see that.” Amber jumped up happily. 

When she looked at the two lines on the test, finally, she was happy. Her status was safe. She finally has given the cruel Alpha an child. Amber couldn’t contain the triumph feeling and rushed to find her mate. She ran quickly to the Alpha’s private study, excited to tell him the news. Bursting in the door without knocking, she was taken aback by the scene in front of her. The Alpha was making out with some red headed bimbo. 

“What the fuck is this Trevor?”

“What does it look like.” He scoffed. “You have failed to give me a child, so, if you don’t mind.” 

“Oh I see. Well, then I guess I should go see the doctor then. To fix my problem since you’d rather sleep with the packs whore.” Amber stated dejectedly.

She tossed the stick at the Alpha and walked out in tears.

“The Luna is pregnant! Get out!” She heard him growl out. 

The sound of heavy footsteps came quickly behind her. Suddenly she was turned around to face a fuming Alpha.

“Why didn’t you tell me? Where do you think you are going? This is cause for a celebration.” Alpha Trevor asked.

“I told you, to the doctor to fix this. My child isn’t the one you want. You’d rather have that whore’s child.” Amber stated as the tears fell.

“Oh honey, you know how much a heir means to me. I was wrong. Please forgive me. I am excited, we are having a child!” 

Seeing how happy he was, she knew she had his whole attention. Smiling, she knew she secured her place. Amber placed her hand on his face, caressing it lovingly.

“Let’s announce it now!” She whispered as she bit his lower earlobe. 

“Get Maria, she can prepare a quick party for the pack. We will announce it there. I will have Jackson gather the pack. Let’s say in 2 hours?”

“Oh yes a party!” She beamed happily.

As Amber ran back to her room, she noticed the faint glow of her necklace. Great, what does Dakota want now. She quickly informed Maria about the party. 

“I have to go shopping to get an outfit for the announcement.” Amber quickly told her, to give her a way to sneak out to see what he wanted.

No one was suppose to know of their affair. Even though Maria was her best friend, she knew more than anyone the plan to get pregnant. However, she would be as clueless as the Alpha. This was his child on the outside. Dakota was a powerful Warlock, they met last year when Amber tried to kill herself. When she explained her situation, he agreed to help her conceive. His only request was to be able to see the child, know the child in secret. She agreed knowing, she’d never allow that. 

She quickly changed clothes, and drove to Dakota’s cabin. Once she arrived, he gracefully walked out to meet her.

“My dear, how are you? My sources tell me you are with child.” Dakota said with a creepy sneer on his face.

“Yes I am. However, the child is the Alpha’s. Not yours, so our agreement doesn’t pertain to this child. Was that all you needed, Dakota?” 

“You know I am a Warlock, so I know you are lying to me Amber. If you try to keep my child away from me I will kill your precious Alpha. Then all the other wolves.” He shouted as the sky turned black. 

Dakota quickly spun Amber around holding her tightly. He placed his hand on her stomach. He could feel the energy of the fetus, instantly reassuring him that he was the father. 

“From this day forth, if you hide my child from me she shall be without her wolf. I will take her wolf spirit prisoner until she knows the truth. Then and only then will her wolf return. Mark my words, this child is strong. She may even be more powerful than her aunt. However, without a wolf, she is just an Omega.” 

With that, Dakota and his cabin disappeared in thin air. Amber was left there, too scared to move. He really just cursed my child. How did he even know the baby is his? Thoughts after thoughts continued invading her mind. She quickly shook them away.

“No worries, the Alpha is happy to have an heir. Our place as Luna and heir are set in stone. Nothing or no one, will ever come between that. Now to find the perfect outfit.” Amber said holding her head up high.

Amber has always been driven to hold the most power. Ever since she was younger she set her sights on only wolves of high rank. When the Alpha lost his mate during child birth, she quickly rushed in to comfort him. There was no love, just an obsession with power. Smiling to herself, secretly wishing the old hag of a mother was still alive.

“See mother! I told you nothing bad would come of my plan. You should have stuck around. Ha. Nothing can take my Luna title from me. You were wrong.” She shouted up to the sky, then quickly drove to town. 

No matter what, her child’s true father will never be known. Not even to her child.
