"Anna is safe, right? Brian," I shook his shoulders. "Our daughter is safe, isn't she?"

Someone from the guards sobbed. My head instantly looked around at the men so I could pick the sobbing one out. But everyone was vulnerably breathing and their red eyes told a different story. A story I wouldn't like to hear.

As I was looking around everyone, I heard my beta, his voice poorly choking, "They breached… the mansion. Th-they shot Madam Martha and another nanny who was looking after Anna and took her away."

No. No. No. Please… this was not true.

It can't be. It's just… I found my place next to Brian as we both wept together.

This was a dream. It had to be a bad dream because I was so happy in the morning. Everything was perfect and clean. Aura and I were savouring moments with our daughter. We were happy.

How could everything turn upside down? Is it even possible for a happy family to scatter like the coins on a carrom board?

Let's not keep forgetting that Maria killed her own father in cold blood to try to achieve her plan the first time. Yes, she may have done good this time but she is still a murderer!!! Are we forgetting this....
