Chapter 19 - Let's disguise you

Amelia’s point of view:

He could hear my heartbeat. He could tell that I was getting nervous. In other words, I was doomed.

“So?” I asked with a shrug, trying to sound indifferent.

“So, it means you’re slowly falling for me.” He winked at me.

I took one look at the smirk on his face. He looked quite pleased with himself and his so-called discovery.

I glanced up, briefly meeting his eyes, and then tried to look past his left shoulder.

“Look me in the eyes, Amelia.” He said softly but I didn’t miss the slight urge in his voice.

Breathing in a lungful of air, I did and he instantly locked eyes with me.
