Chapter 23 - Cutting onions?

Amelia’s point of view:

“I have never cooked in my life.” Alejandro walked down the stairs after changing into his clothes.

“There’s a first for everything.” I said with a shrug. There were still some remnants of lipstick on his lips but there was no point in telling him about it now that he’d already lost his dignity in front of the whole town.

And, he looked kind of cute with his lips slightly more pinkish in color.

Alejandro stopped walking altogether and looked at me with a face. “But -”

“No buts, you agreed to help me cook.” I intervened before taking out the ingredients we would need to prepare lunch.

“Why did I agree to this?” Alejandro tightened the knot on the baby pink apron I had given him behind his back, muttering to himself.

“Hmm? Did you say something?” I turned to look at him with the spaghetti in one hand and a bowl and spatula in the other.

“Nothing,” he shook his head.
