Chapter 24 - Moonlight, heat and high fever!

Alejandro’s point of view:

When Amelia had told me to help her prepare lunch, I had just stared at her for a moment, unsure how I had felt about that. But, before I could have thought it through, Leo had pushed forth and had agreed to help her.

Never in my one hundred year of existence could I have imagined I’d be standing in a flowery kitchen that early in the morning, cooking with my mate, my human mate.

Now that I think about it, this was just a wonderful moment. Her laughter sounded like music to my ears… to my sensitive ears which weren’t so sensitive to her loud chuckles.

Once her laughter died down though, I watched as her lips turned down into a pout.

"No! Look at what you did, Alejandro," She breathed out gloomily.

For a moment, all I could think about was the way my name sounded coming from her mouth until I noted the anger on her face. Yet, it took some time for me to come out of my reverie.
