HER BOSS IS A TOTAL WEIRDO

☠️ CHAPTER THREE ☠️

" Arghhhhhhhh!!" Raven screamed on top of her voice making Jade run out of her room, heading to her room.

" What happened, what's with the scream?" She rasped on getting to Raven's room. She was seated on her bed, a bowl of almost done ice cream before her.

" I'm doomed Jade... I'm doomed!" Raven yelled.

" Will you stop screaming for once and tell me what happened?" Jade snapped impatiently as she approached. Raven handed her phone to her. Reading the message on the screen, Jade's eyes widened immediately.

" Oh my goodness, Raven you've gotten a job!!" She screamed happily only to get a hard glare from Raven.

"You're screaming...happily... seriously?" She scoffed.

" Of course. This is something to be happy about. You've finally gotten a job" Jade chuckled happily.

" You don't get it Jade. My whole life...my whole miserable life of misery is finally finished" Raven muttered, lying back on the bed.

" Your life is ruined because you got a job?" Jade questioned in confusion.

" Yeah. First things first, I won't be able to sleep for as long as I wish, I won't be able to binge watch N*****x, stuffing myself with pizza all day long and...the worst part, I won't be able to play video games anymore" Raven listed out before letting out a loud cry.

" You are literally the worst human being I've ever come across in my whole life" Jade mumbled in shock.

" Yeah, sure it's a privilege" Raven hissed with an eye roll.

" So you prefer glueing your lazy ass at home all day doing absolutely nothing useful with your life than to work?" Jade scoffed.

" No... you've got to be kidding me. You are starting work tomorrow, not just anywhere...the best game industry in the whole of China, Tecent. And as far as I know, you are literally the best in video games. This is should be a dream come true for you"

" Tell me all about it" Raven drawled with an eye roll.

" This is way much better than you sitting home doing nothing or going out there stealing whatever you come across" Raven shot Jade a glare as her heart skipped a beat in fear and Jade only raised a brow at her.

" What did I steal now?" She almost hissed.

" You want me to call the name?" Jade scoffed.

" I saw it in your room, in your closet" Raven's face died down in a frown and she looked away in guilt.

" I couldn't help it" She mumbled inaudibly.

" What exactly where you thinking Rav... you almost got yourself killed and you must have killed someone, didn't you?...

" I said I couldn't help it!" Raven yelled out in frustration. She let out a sigh.

" You yourself know I can't help it. I wouldn't do that on my right sense...and...I tried stopping myself but I couldn't"

" Now I only feel as guilty as fuck" She mumbled the last part sadly, bowing her head down in shame. Tears rolled down her cheeks just then.

Jade felt guilty seeing the tears in Raven's eyes. Of all the things she wants on earth, seeing her younger sister sad...is definitely not one of them. Raven means a lot to her and seeing her sad only makes her sad. She sat on the bed, placing her hand on Raven's shoulder, who looked up, her eyes already flooded with tears.

" I know you can't help it but...I feel like maybe if you start working, you would be so busy and preoccupied that stealing won't pop up in your mind" She said.

" Fine, I'll try" Raven mumbled sadly, wiping her tears away and got a reassuring smile from Jade.

" Now that's the Rav I know. You can do it girl" She gingered, standing up.

" Now go to sleep and...

" No binge watching this night" She added making Raven pout at her.

" But this will be my last night" She muttered with a pout.

" No, no and no. Early to bed, early to rise remember? Now have a good night sleep" Jade replied heading to the door.

" You're the worst elder sister ever" Raven hissed.

" Fuck you" Jade replied and left. Raven shoved a spoon of ice cream into her mouth, her face folded in a deep frown.

" I'm too lazy to work. I can't even remember the last time I did."

" So here's the plan Rav; you go to work tomorrow and get yourself fired. Then come back and enjoy your miserable life... period" She grinned to herself.

THE NEXT MORNING

Raven was standing before China's best game industry, TECENT. It was written boldly for all to see. She couldn't help but feel a bit nervous.

"Ok Rav, you remember the plan, get yourself fired" She breathed out before heading inside.

Entering she was wowed at how big and classic the company was. Everyone was dressed all casual and each was busy with their headphones and system. She headed to the elevator and on entering met a lady who was on a call.

" Good morning" She greeted and the lady only nodded. Waiting patiently to reach her destination, Raven was humming a song, her feet tapping on the floor to rhyme a beating to the song she was humming. Her eyes was roaming round the elevator until it widened on landed on the watch in the lady's wrist.

" Holy Moses, that is one good looking watch" She pressed her lips together, her eyes still on the watch.

" Think of something Rav... think" She bit on her lower lips. An idea came up and wide grin creeped up her lips.

She quacked the lady a bit on purpose, using the opportunity to unhook the watch which fell to the ground.

" I'm sorry, it wasn't on purpose" She apologized with a bow immediately. The lady put her call on a hold before looking at Raven.

" Are you ok?" She asked.

" Yes. Just felt a bit dizzy, that's all" Raven replied.

" If you're sick then you better head home"

" No no I'm fine. I'm sorry" Raven apologized once again.

" It's ok" The lady smiled a bit at her before returning to her call. Raven let out a slight heave before bending down and picking up the watch.

" This must be yours right?" She asked waving the watch before the lady.

" Oh my. It must have fallen off just now. Thank you" The lady said, putting the watch at the side pocket of her bag which was facing Raven.

And when the lady became engrossed once again in her never ending call, Raven stylishly dipped her hand into her side pocket, smuggling the watch.

Just then the elevator beeped and open and the lady was the first to step out, waving a bye at Raven who forced a smile up her lips.

" That was easy" She grinned, stepping out.

" Now you're mine and...

" I don't even know what to do with you" She muttered as guilt out of a sudden struck her heart.

" What the fuck did I steal this watch for... damn it!" She almost felt like crying.

" Raven Scott" A voice called snapping her attention to the direction the voice came from. And there was Jimmy, who approached her.

" Good morning Boss" She greeted almost immediately and Jimmy almost choked on hearing her call him Boss. He cleared his throat instead.

" Since you're here, come with me" He said leading the way with Raven trailing behind him.

Meanwhile, Holden was in his office, his legs crossed on the table and back relaxed fully on the chair. He was putting on a black jacket with white top and black jean coupled with a high boot canvas.

On his hand was a tablet which he was busy playing a game with. The door of his office opened and Jimmy stepped in.

" She's here Boss" He announced but got no reply from Holden who was still focused in his game. Looking back, Jimmy gestured Raven to step in which she complied. Seeing someone seated on a chair even though his face wasn't that much visible due to the big tablet, Raven swallowed nervously.

" Good morning Boss. My name is Raven Scott, your new secretary" She greeted.

What am I even saying? Of course he knows she is his new secretary. He was the one who hired her. She turned but was surprised when she didn't see Jimmy. Where did he go?

Hearing Raven's voice made Holden pause his game immediately.

" That voice..." He thought as his mind drifted back to the reply the mysterious lady gave him yesterday.

" Their voice sounds familiar" Slowly Holden brought down the tablet to see who his assistant was. His eyes went straight to her eyes and his pupils dilated on seeing the familiar green eyes.

" She's is the one, there's no doubt about it" His mind concluded. Those green eyes are ones he could recognize anywhere.

Raven on the other hand went stiff immediately when her eyes spotted something and it almost popped out.

" Good heavens, is that a pendant?" Her mind yelled.

" Heavens save my soul if I don't get a hold on that pendant, I'm gonna die" Raven's breath became rasped and she pouted unknowingly, her eyes still fixed on the pendant.

Holden frowned his brows in confusion on Raven's sudden pout.

" Is she checking me out?" He scoffed inwardly. He let out a slight cough which did a good job snapping Raven out. He raised a brow at her, his facial expression blank.

" Checking your Boss out on your first day at work. Some nerves, huh?" Raven almost choked on what Holden said.

" Who is checking you out?" The words almost rolled off her tongue but she caged them back in by pressing her lips together.

" I'm so sorry Boss, I couldn't help it" She answered instead, making Holden roll his eyes.

" Why is she acting like we haven't met before?" He frowned. Raven's eyes went back to the pendant but her brain gave a hot slap.

" Concentrate!" It snapped at her and she nodded, turning her attention to Holden.

" Would you like some coffee Sir?" She smiled.

" I don't drink coffee" Holden replied plainly, resuming his game.

" Tea?"

" I hate tea" Raven felt like knocking out his teeth on his reply.

" What does he drink then?" She hissed inwardly.

" Whiskey then?" She sarcastically asked making Holden glare at her. He wasn't glaring at her because of her question, besides she was right after all.

He was glaring at her because she was acting like they haven't met before.

" How did you know I was been chased by the cops yesterday?" Holden frankly asked, being the type who hates beating about the bush.

" Pardon?" Raven blurted out immediately and Holden paused his game again.

" You were stalking me weren't you?" He asked and that only confused Raven. Her lips parted as she stared at Holden blankly.

Holden's eyes drifted to her parted lips and the kiss from the mysterious lady flashed through his mind but he quickly slapped it off.

" Is this man psycho or what? What the fuck is he even talking about?" Raven thought. Letting a slight cough, she spoke up.

" With all due respect Sir...I don't know what you're talking about" She tried sounding as polite as she could. Her reply only angered Holden.

" You said you loved putting on masks, why aren't you putting on one today?" He asked once again to see if she could fathom what he was talking about.

Raven ruffled her hair a bit, confused. She was certain of one thing;

Her day is getting no better cause as it is, she was hired to be an assistant to a total weirdo...
