3: what a b*tch deserves...

Today was Kate's official day of starting her revenge program. 

 it was her quest to restore her family's name which had become the talk of the country! it had become a hot and trending topic all around. Thank heavens for her sister that' was resting In the shelter of the psychiatric hospital, else she would have been surrounded by national reporters requesting an interview now and then. what torment that would be. But she was gonna end it all herself.

Good thing lucy had sent her the information she needed to survive in the company, especially that of the bio of her main target, Dane Maxwell who was the CEO of the company. A man in his late twenties...28 perhaps? Kate couldn't recall properly but she had studied the information early that morning thanks to her quick learner skills. And also about his so-called assistant and Vice CEO, Miss Lizzy Dayton.  

With all this information, she was ready to conquer. ' Nothing ' was going to stop her. 

And she had also taken a hidden identity to avoid the case of being discovered. it was already good enough that no one could recognize her as the Second daughter of the valentines, so it was easier. All she needed was to change her name and deviate from her luxurious ways which were good because she never lived a luxurious life anyways!

Now she only needed a new name and she had that under control. she was only gonna change her family name and be known as kate Lyons.

Kate confidently walked into the company as she approached the receptionist.

"Excuse me, miss...I was wondering where the recruitment area was" Kate asked. This was also part of the information she got from Lucy. smart Lucy had told her that they were recruiting a new member today and when she saw a skill she was good at, Kate knew this was destined.

"Oh.. you're here for that?" the receptionist asked as Kate nodded" Well fill this form"

Kate took it and filled it up without hesitation. she had written on her area of specialty "INTERPRETER/ TRANSLATOR" which was part of the recruitment. This was her thing.

"I'm done" she informed the receptionist afterward.

"Okey then....take it to the 6th floor, there you'll see others also here for the recruitment" She informed.

"Thanks a lot" Kate appreciated as she walked off to the elevator.

There seemed to be a lot of people who had come for the recruitment which simply pissed kate up. The place had indeed gotten a whole lot popular after close to two months of taking down their company and making it their company. 

And on another note, Kate wasn't a patient woman. The idea of waiting in line simply Annoyed her. But she had no other alternative.

After an hour-plus of waiting, it was finally her turn as she confidently stepped into the room.

She stood before five Judges with Lizzy in the middle as the chief supervisor. She could recognize her Thanks to her retentiveness.

She watched them go through her form as the first man from the left began the asking. "Are you aware that there are many people here today who are also here for the position of the interpreter?" He asked as kate nodded "So what makes you sure that you'll be Among the selected lucky three and how confident are you about your Skills?" 

Katie sighed about to answer when she was rudely interrupted by Lizzy.

"No" Lizzy chipped in "You're disqualified"

The rest of the judges and even Kate were surprised by what she announced. Gladly Kate was polite enough to ask 

"And may I know why I was disqualified even before the interview began proper?" she demanded looking at Lizzy.

"Be it applying for the position of a translator, or a receptionist or whatever...But the underlining fact is that you're applying here at a fashion company. And right now, you've failed to pass that basic sense anyone who works here should have. - And that is being fashionable"

Kate almost choked over her pathetic theory. what was that all about? What does translating have to do with fashion? was this lady dense or what? But in general, kate felt offended and utterly insulted. But still, she had to keep her cool. "so....miss...what are you trying to say?"

"What I'm trying to say is simple. Looking at your face, dressing code...I can see that you don't have what it takes to work here no matter what. This is the top fashion company in the country and you can't just walk in here looking like a gang lady. So get out, there's no room for you even for an interview" Lizzy said plainly. she was known to be direct and rude.

Kate exploded in fury. She felt like jumping on this lady and strangling her to death! Number one fashion company? that's just rubbish! They were all thieves who scammed their way to the top. people who needed to be put in their place.

But right now...Kate had to be calm. she forced on a smile as she held herself once again. "Then...I'll be leaving.... thanks for your time," She said but her furious eyes showed otherwise.

She angrily walked out of the room and stopped at the corridor where she was waiting for an hour before. She had both hands on her waist, furious. The nerve of this girl to talk to her In such a manner! she indeed had quite an attitude. Kate had peaceful wanted to apply and get the position of a mere translator and then this lady had interfered. She had triggered her bad side and now she wouldn't go free because now she wasn't gonna get the position of the translator anymore, she was gonna take the position of the vice CEO now, and she was going to do it the hard way.

Kate got dressed in a cleaner's outfit. A blue overall and had a blue face cap on.

She was with her cleaning equipment as she Walked off to the stair of the 6th floor which lead downstairs. Looking at the first phase of the stairs which was just 10 stairs, she nodded as she moped the up making it wet.

Contented, she headed to the elevator which led down and spoilt it without anyone knowing because there was no such person on the floor.

Her plan was in order as she then went up to the recruiting room She met the security man at the door.

"Excuse me but I want to inform miss Lizzy that the CEO needs her urgently in the hospital. he's hurt" She said as the security man went in to inform her.

Thanks again to Lucy's gossip information which stated that the family of Lizzy and Dane were closed and even gossiped to have a marriage in the future. and also it was no secret that Lizzy liked Dane, so this would trigger her plan.

A few seconds after the security man went in delivering the message, Lizzy quickly dashed out in a hurry. She ran past Kate and towards the elevator. With a smile, Kate followed behind.

 it was only the two of them going in that direction. others were busy with the recruitment and the security man guarding the door.

Lizzy tried opening the elevator door but it was stuck or something so she dashed off to take the stairs.

And on intending to begin alighting the stairs, she slipped and fell off the 10 stairs, rolling and finally falling to the balanced area before the next stair down. she was unconscious

On seeing this, Kate quickly smiled and cleaned up the water. After this, she then put up her acting cap. "Oh no! Miss vice CEO!" She yelled as she went down the stairs in a hurry.

She didn't know if people heard her and was coming, but Before they did she quickly brought her hand down to Lizzy's neck and took away her working ID card. She hid it in her overall pocket and then yelled the louder. 

"Help! Help!" 

The security men along with some other workers rushed to the scene to intervene. 

"What happened?" The security man asked.

"I don't know...she was running so fast and fell off the stairs" Kate explained, looking concerned.

"Quickly, let's take her to the hospital" A man suggested as the security man Carried her up in his arms and left.

Kate stood there watching them leave as she smiled. She took out the ID and looked at it "Don't worry about here. She sounds be thankful I'm not a murderer. I only gave her a slight fall, she'll certainly be okay" She said. She seemed to be certain of this situation and was aware that this wouldn't bring her to her. "Just a minor fall. she'll only get bruised," She said turning and going up the stairs. She had to get on with her plan. Find Dane, the villain in her story.

A black car pulled over before the LIGHT FASHION AND DESIGN COMPANY as Bryan got out from the driver's seat. He went to the backseat and pulled open the door. Dane majestically got out adjusting his suits button.

He looked ahead at his company as he approached the entrance.

He was now in front with Bryan behind him as he walked towards the entrance. Eyes were on him, admiring eyes of girls. He was a handsome young man, A dream guy of almost every girl. Only those who had experienced his wrath would know how cruel he was. But some girls still crushed on him nevertheless. He was the definition of handsome perfection!

Suddenly, Kate came right in front of Dane, blocking him. 

She slowly looked up at him, their eyes clashed as thoughts ran into her head. So this was the jerk who had seduced her sister and stolen their company. The man who Emily fell head over heels for and was a fool to. Looking at him she was simply disgusted by him. The sight of him made her blood burn.

Kate faked a smile as she raised Lizzy's work ID before" Hello Mr. Dane Maxwell, I'm Kate...Kate Lyons, your new personal assistant. Nice to meet you" She still had that insincere smile.

The sight of the girl stunned him bringing back the terrible feelings and experiences he thought he had forgotten for long. These feelings he detested the most... these that made his youth scornful. And the sight of this girl brought it back...

After fifteen Years. They meet again...He thought
