Chapter 11

SELENE

Someone knocked on my office door. I looked at it for a while and went back to fixing the boxes of my father’s things left here in the office.

“Yes, I come in,” I mumbled softly.

I heard the door open and close. Different books are here in the box, I didn’t know my father loved books or these belonged to my mother since she really loves books. But then my father has a sign on it, which belongs to him.

I heard the footsteps of the person entering the room stopped in front of me.

“Is that how you treat your employees?”

I looked at the man who was talking. Jasper. I smiled and stood up, he even helped me.

“What are you doing here? Don’t you have work?” I asked and sat down first at the couch.

He sat down also and crossed his legs.

“Are you settling in nicely?”

He answered me with a question as well. Nice. I pressed down the button on the side table so that my assistant would bring us some coffee.
