“Mom…” My lips quivered. Cold sweat washed over me.
How can I let it slip through my mind that mom could possibly be here. This is the one place she would be if not elsewhere. If only I wasn't blinded by the temporary comfort encast upon me. Then, I could have used my brain better and saved myself from these circumstances.
