It reminded me of when Ethan had first turned into a wolf, all excited that he was happily jumping around me and mother.

Though when he shifted into his human form, he immediately fell to the ground. He couldn't move a single limb, similar to her, that he had started crying. Not stopping until mom had her fingers slipped through his hair, patting him into sleep.

My hand softly ran through her hair, lulling her to her contentment. It was all thanks to my mother that I could calm her down from her anxiousness.

A sigh left my lips as I took in her features, so peaceful that I wished she hadn't had to go through all those painful stages of her life.

As much as relieved sipped through me seeing her peace and well, the fatigue that I never realized piling inside my body finally came out.
