I paced around the bedroom as I thought of what I just heard.

The fact that I knew that it was mum who was behind this worried me more than I could describe, and the fact that I knew who they might be after scared the life out of me. If the woman called Alessio, and not only that, came all the way here seeking for help. It means that she was in danger, and knowing my husband, the man was only helping her out with Allessio’s sake because it was his war too.
