Marcus reached home forty-five minutes later only to find his apartment was empty.

He looked around with a puzzled look.

For sure, the mess he created a week ago had been cleaned up by none other than Giselle. The whole apartment’s living room had been back to its normal stage except for some broken items that had not been replaced. But aside from that, everything looked normal.
