I stood looking at the door to the cottage sadly.

What was I going to tell Whitney if she was to ask me how I went?. I didn't want her to feel sad or know that the twins were with me. Although we now trusted August, it wasn't a good idea leaving him alone to manage everything. The territory was too big and the members there were at times stubborn as hell.

I was just hoping she wasn't going to ask a thing.

After Ian had gone, Lee created two portals for us. One for the twins that led straight to the territory and another one for me that led here to the cottage.

There was nothing left to say or do, and what was done couldn't be undone.

I happily embraced her when she ran into my arms.
