AMARACHI

 

     I faced the large dressing mirror that stood on the wall horizontally.

I couldn't believe I was actually back in Enugu. I felt so nauseous when we landed yesterday evening. I truly didn't know if it was because it was my first time using a plane or because of the fact that I was back in this state that held so much bad memories for me.

Jordan held me softly as we waited for our designated driver that will take us to his mum's house.

  I couldn't even sleep well the entire night. I twisted and turned restlessly  on the bed. I just couldn't wait for dawn so I could go meet aunty Lydia. I needed to move on and rap this up as soon as I could.

   Today would be the day I found out the truth surrounding my birth and my mother's death. I wanted nothing but the truth.
