My arms tightly wrapped around my torso, fingers digging into my upper arms. The Alpha's harsh and rapid breathing made my toes curl, arms pricking with goosebumps. He was quelling the anger inside, as much as possible, still, they rolled out in waves, affecting my wolf.
The Luna's question hung in the air, her eyes boring into me as she expected me to answer. I shifted on the balls of my feet, praying for the ground to open and swallow me.
When I look at the situation from an outsider's perspective, it's not my fault. Axel was the one who suggested this crazy idea of rushing into a fake relationship.
