Chapter 18

After dinner, they took a walk together for a while. The moon was shining brightly in the sky and there were a lot of stars twinkling in the night sky. Lillian looked up and wondered.

“Do you think that there are aliens on other planets?” she asked him.

“I don’t know. I only know about this planet. Why did you ask that so suddenly?” he asked her.

She shrugged.

“It was just a random thought.” She told him and then asked one more question she was wondering about. “What about parallel universes?”

“Babe, I have no idea. I am no scientist.” He told her and added. “But maybe there are, and we don’t know that they exist yet. Like humans don’t know that dragons, vampires, werewolves, etc. exist.”

She nodded.

“Maybe.” she said and looked at him with a smile.

“Wanna stop by your parents before we head home?” he asked her.

She nodded.

They walked back to their car, but when they reached it, they saw Zack standing beside it. They stopped in front of him.

Lillian looked at him with mixed feelings.
