Chapter 21

Lillian woke up before Shadow did and went to the bathroom. After taking a shower and changing her clothes, she went to the kitchen to make breakfast. She was craving something sweet for breakfast. She made waffles with bacon and a big bowl of cereal. As she slowly munched on her breakfast, she scrolled through her phone looking at her news feed.

She finished her breakfast and got up to put the dishes away, then she went to check on Shadow, who was still asleep.

She went to the living room and sat down on the sofa. The ring on her finger caught her eye. She smiled, looking at it, and suddenly was reminded of Zack.

Lillian sighed and looked out the window of her living room, thinking about how she met Zack and how he saved her. Of all the things they had been through. She knew that there were some things she needed to talk with him about.

Suddenly, a phone call interrupted her thoughts. She picked her phone and looked at the caller ID. It was Olivia.
