Angelina’s POV

I don’t know how much my heart can still be able to withstand more stress before giving up on me.

But somehow it was still functioning even after Lucas shot the man claiming to be my father without even diverting his gaze from me.

It startled me so much, the sound of the shot in that close range, and in this confined space compared to the vastness of that mountain, it was more terrifying like nothing I’ve seen before. I jumped in my spot and shook immensely at the booming sound of that shot.

The sick bastard is fucking crazy!

He wasn’t aiming with his eyes but still, as I looked at the definitely dead man; unwillingly, I saw the bullet hole right in the fucking middle of his forehead.

I wondered how many times he needed to practice that move to nail it so perfectly and how many people died in the process of achieving that precision.

My wide eyes went back to him and my blood ran cold as I saw the smile on his face.
