Chapter IV

Lowri’s POV

Oh wow, what  a refreshing few days it had been; sightseeing, eating, and window shopping.  No real spending of my own money as that was against my frugality for freedom promise to myself; my life  plan is to save every bonus and every penny towards the dream of paying off a small place with a few acres close to my parent’s home in the mountains, and also having enough capital to generate an income that means I won’t have to answer to anyone.  That was the plan anyhow.  The plan was already in progress.  I’ve saved just enough to have recently put down 50% of the purchase price on a dated farmhouse with some old barns and 20 acres of fallow land.  It was the most exciting purchase I’ve ever made.  I had a long way to go to pay off the mortgage on the other 50% and fund the repairs and upgrading, not to mention the nest egg I needed to generate an income that meant I wasn’t just surviving on bread and water. 

I’m determined though.  My current job as a pharmaceutical rep for WellChem meant that the sky was the limit for earnings because of the generous commission and bonus structure, and I’d gotten very good at selling pharmaceuticals.

I’m just off to soak in my hotel room’s large bath when the reminder on my mobile phone rings, telling me I was meeting with WellChem’s CEO in 2 hours.  I’ve had a relaxing morning of chilling out in the hotel’s spa facilities today. I feel as supple as a well cooked piece of asparagus.

I’m so ready to learn from the company’s CEO.  I’m intrigued to meet the man who’s lead the company to successive stock market gains year on year for the last 10 years.

I judge the outfit I’ve laid out on my bed for the meeting; a soft champagne coloured, floaty pussybow blouse, that I’m pairing with a camel coloured paper bag style wide leg trousers that pulls in at the stomach but floats around my legs.  Smart but not overbearing.

After my luxurious bath I towel dry my hair, brush it, then scrunch product into it to bring out my natural curls.

Some dusky rose lipstick to set off my understated makeup, and I’m ready!
