An apology

When I wake up the next morning, I am glad to know that Leo has already left for work.

I roll to my side. The moment I do, my stomach gets uneasy and I have to rush to the bathroom where I throw up in the sink. Not even making it to the toilet.

Just as I thought it was over, it starts again.

Avril comes into my room, only to see me on the floor with my head between my knees.

"Are you alright?"

Before I can answer, I start throwing up again.

"I don't know. I woke up, and it's like this."

"Ok, get yourself cleaned up. I'll make some tea to help settle your stomach."

When she walks out, I throw up one last time before brushing my teeth and coming down to the kitchen.

I am greeted by pepper mint tea, eggs, waffles, and bacon.

"Thank you." I smile at Avril, who gives me a look instead.
