DABRIA'S POV:-
I opened my eyes again as I felt Zar licking my cheeks. I stretched my arms above my head and looked at him. I no longer felt that coldness inside my body. I sat up on the bed and looked around. My room was still dark. I crawled out of the bed and peeled my clothes off. "Come on, Zar. We are going to take shower together. I haven't been taking care of you all this long." I spoke to Zar as I walked into the bathroom. Zar followed me excitedly. I just knew that dogs were never that happy to have a shower. But Zar was not a dog. I knew he was a wolf. He was taller than me in height.
Zar reached to my shoulders while he was on his four feet. I never knew how tall he would be while on his two feet. Instead of the shower, I filled the tub with warm water. I added my favourite jasmine fragrance and some soup, then stepped into the warm water. Zar followed me behind. He was literally sitting on my lap. I rested my back with the walls of the tub and closed my eyes. It felt heavenly. Zar rested his head on my chest after a minute. After a few minutes, I started rubbing Zar's fur with his bathing sponge. Once he was all cleaned, I rubbed my body with the bathing flower. Once we both were all cleaned up, I drained the tup and stepped out of the tub.
I rinsed our bodies with fresh water then wrapped a towel around Zar's body first. I grabbed the other towel and wrapped it around my body. We stepped out of the bathroom. I used the dryer to dry my hair and Zar's Golden soft fur. "Awww… look at you. You look so beautiful after the bath. And your fur is shining." I spoke as I brushed his fur. Once Zar was read, I dropped the towel on the floor and went towards my closet. I grabbed a tank top and a pair of white shorts. I wore my clothes. I almost jumped as I turned around and found Zar sitting at the door of my closet. He was staring at me.
Shaking my head at him, I giggled and walked towards him. "Zar! You really scared the hell out of me. Let's go, baby. I know you might be hungry. Let's not make you wait any longer. I will get you a turkey today." I spoke to Zar in a low tone as I patted his fur. He never liked anyone touching his fur. Well, except for me. I signalled him to follow me. Without wasting any more time, I went straight towards the kitchen. For some reason, it felt like something had changed around. The maids were busy in their work without wasting their time on gossip. They didn't leave the kitchen as soon as they saw me. Now I was getting very nervous about everything.
"Leave us alone." Well, I was not comfortable around them. So I told them to leave. They all quickly bowed their heads in front of me and left. They even bowed in front of Zar. I could smell fear in the kitchen as all the maids ran out of the kitchen. I went towards the deep freezer dad had bought. He bought it only to dump food for Zar. As he only liked to eat meat, dad knew we needed a bigger fridge to have enough meat for a big wolf like Zar. I looked into the fridge and found a whole turkey in the freezer. I put the turkey in the oven and walked out of the kitchen. I couldn't eat without Zar.
I went to find my father. As always, Zar followed me behind. I gasped loudly as I saw Uncle Salvador standing in the hallway. I ran towards him and hugged him tightly. He chuckled softly and patted my head. "Finally! I thought I was going to go shopping without you. How are you feeling now, our sweet angel?" Uncle Salvador whispered softly as he pulled away from me. He looked at Zar and tried to pat his head. But Zar growled loudly and uncle Salvador stepped backwards. I giggled and kissed Zar's jaw. He was such an adorable thing. I had no idea why he always let me touch his fur but growl at the others. Maybe because he was always with me.
I loved him and he clearly loved me too. "I am sorry, Uncle Sal. He just doesn't like anyone touching his golden fur. I am fine now. Where is daddy? I wanted to see him before I could go and eat something." I whispered in a low tone as I could see that Zar's mere growl was able to scare uncle Salvador. His growl was as loud and dominating as the growl of an alpha werewolf.
"Oh! That's alright, sweet angel. I will be careful from now on. Your father is in the hall of throne. He has been waiting for you to wake up impatiently." He replied to me in a low tone as he patted my head. I nodded my head and walked towards the hall of throne.
Even though I was a grown woman, my family never stopped treating me like a child. When I was eighteen, I thought maybe I would no longer get that childish treatment. But hell, I was wrong. It was a curse for anyone to be the only child of the family. I never met Uncle Adrian. But dad, mom, uncle Salvador and his wife, Aunt Rebecca, couldn't quit it. After a little while, I just stopped complaining. I knew I was the only child in the family. I was the miracle of the Cerberus family. I entered the hall of throne and gasped loudly. There was a gold statue set beside the throne. The statue was exactly like the woman I used to see in my nightmares. As I walked closer towards the throne, I read the name clearly. "In the memory of the bravest warrior of the Cerberus territory. Eve Daemonium."
DABRIA'S POV:-I walked towards my father and bowed my head in front of him. He stood up and walked towards me. He engulfed me in his arms and I also wrapped my arms around him. I pulled away from him as I heard Zar's overprotective growl. Dad chuckled softly and I kissed Zar's face. "Dad! What is going on? What did I miss? This is Eve's statue, right?" I asked my dad after a minute. I felt like I was in a different territory. Where my father could loudly announce how brave and courageous woman Eve really was. And how he always told that he was proud of her. It was never allowed to even say her name out loud. Keeping her gold statue in the hall of throne was something I had never expected."Let's go somewhere else. Where we both can sit and talk. There is so much more for me to tell you. And I am sure you are impatient too." My dad spoke in a low tone while s
DABRIA'S POV:-After a few minutes, a man stepped into the kitchen. He had this wide smile on his face as he saw me. He walked closer towards me and bowed his head in front of me. "This is Ryan. One of the most powerful vampires I have ever known. Not just that. He was called the eclipse. We all feared him and his loyalty to Adrian. But then, he became loyal to Eve. She saved his life." Dad added after a minute. I was staring at that man. He sure looked so familiar. After a minute, I remembered. I used to have nightmares about him too. I stood up from my chair and walked towards him. I touched his cheek and everything he had been through, flashed in front of my eyes. For a moment, I felt dizzy and was about to fall on my butt, but Zar was already standing behind me. He caught me at the right time. "Are you alright, my Mistress?" Ryan asked me in a worried tone while lookin
DABRIA'S POV:- This place was supposed to be the place where I had the best time of my life. Whenever I used to hear Eve's painful cries, I always ran towards this place. And hid inside my room. I was glad that dad made this tree house for me. But because everything that happened between Zeus and I, I just stopped coming to the treehouse. It was painful for me to remember the time we had spent in this place. I never understood why Zeus changed that much within a few years. I was his princess. I was actually the only woman he had ever laid his eyes on. And yet, he became so barbaric when our time came. He became so barbaric that he crushed all my dreams under his heels. There was not a single day I had not thought about him. I tried not to remember anything about Zeus. Because I just couldn't bear that pain anymore. Every time anyone m
DABRIA'S POV:- I opened my eyes and gasped loudly. There was a tall and muscular man lying beside me on the bed. He was lying naked beside me. Zar was nowhere to be found. I opened my mouth to scream as loudly as I could. But before I could wake up the whole palace, my screams were muffled behind a strong palm. He covered my mouth with his hand firmly. As I knew he was naked, my eyes were closed before I even opened my mouth to scream. "Shhh… don't you dare scream." As his voice made its way to my ears, I instantly opened my eyes. My eyes widened in horror as I saw his face again. I thought I would never see his face again in my life. "I am going to pull my hand away. If you scream, I swear I will tell you how angry I can get. You will not scream. Got it?" He asked me in his same low and deep voice. I gulped hard and nodded my head. He pulled
DABRIA'S POV:-My heart skipped a beat or two when my brain started processing his words. I just didn't want to accept his words. If it was really him all this long around me, I was literally doomed. I had bathed with Zar. I had changed in front of him. Worst of all, I was walking buck ass nude in front of him most of the time when we were alone in the room. A mischievous grin appeared on his face as he pushed me back in the metrus and hovered over me. My breath hitched as he pinned me with the metrus. He interviewed his fingers with mine as he leaned over towards my neck. I closed my eyes and whimpered softly as I felt his warm breaths touching my skin.I shivered when the tip of his nose touched the sensitive skin of my neck. He actually knew every single sensitive point of my body. And he knew how to use those spots against me. "I meant that it was me all this long. I was the one bat
DABRIA'S POV:-A droplet of tear escaped his eye and landed on the ground. Were my words literally hurting him that much? Did he really think I could ever forgive him after everything he had done to me? I can remember that time as clearly as looking at my own reflection in the mirror. I shivered and jumped off of the bed. "I am sorry. I can't do this. I am not that brave. I want you to grab one of my gowns and leave. Now that I know that it was you all along, I can't bear to see you around me for another second." I said in a firm tone while looking at him. My eyes started to water up. The tears were stinging my eyes to break free. But I kept them at bay.I didn't want him to see my tears anymore. He couldn't have that pleasure ever again. I had tears in my eyes not because I saw he was in pain. It was because I had been through enough pain because of him. And I couldn't have it again. I
DABRIA'S POV:- A wide smile appeared on her face as she saw me. I stood up and walked towards her slowly. She also stood up but stayed rooted at the spot she was sitting on. I had tears in my eyes as I finally saw her smiling face for the very first time in my entire life. "Eve!!!" I whisper that escaped my lips like a prayer. Or maybe I was just too happy seeing her beautiful smile. "It is you! Oh my God! I can not believe my eyes. I almost gave up on those dreams I used to have. That one day, I will see you smiling wholeheartedly. That one day, you will be at peace." I added while staring at her from head to toe. My voice was barely audible as I was still crying. I had no idea why I was crying in the first place. But I knew those tears were not hurting my chest anymore. She gently brushed my hair while smiling at me. "Yes! It
DABRIA'S POV:-I opened my eyes and sat up on the bed, groaning in annoyance. I knew it was not just a dream that I had. And as promised, I had to go and find him. I truly didn't want to. But I always kept my promises. I crawled out of the bed and walked towards the closet. I wore a tank top and jeans shorts. I quickly grabbed my boots and my coat, then jumped out of the window. I landed on the ground effortlessly despite the height. My bedroom was on the second floor of the palace. Those were the real perks of being a supernatural creature. I sniffed the air and caught his scent. I started following the trail of his scent.I was not surprised at all when his scent took me straight towards our treehouse. It was not just a treehouse. For Zeus and Zaric, it was their den. Taking a deep breath, I started climbing up the stairs. I went towards the roof as I could smell Z
