Chapter 37 – Little Ace

Wayne named him Ace.

At the hospital, Andrea had a hard time giving birth to him. She was utterly exhausted. The baby was healthy. When the parents came to visit, they saw Wayne carefully holding him as an elderly woman guided him from the side, holding a cotton towel and wiping the baby’s face when he drools in his sleep. She was hired as a nanny and a mother of one of the maids in their household.

Wayne enthusiastically greeted them, showing off the baby.

“Looks just like you as a baby.” His mother commented.

“How do you remember something from so long ago?” Wayne replied with a smile, but he’s glad to hear it.

“Oh, you never looked at your baby pictures, did you? I brought them with me. Come, look.”

Wayne’s lip twitched as he blinked. The in-laws huddled around his mother. She laid the albums near the end of the bed as Wena carried her grandson.
