Chapter 40 – Meeting at a party

She hasn’t told him the details of the party she is going to attend. Likewise, he didn’t ask. When he came home early to prepare for it, he found her sleeping. Thinking she might be tired, he didn’t wake her up. He’ll just go alone.

As for Andrea, there was a problem at her company that she had to resolve early that morning. She was fairly tired and went to sleep early when she got home, so she would have the energy during the party.

When she saw him, there was a woman at his side. For his benefit, he wasn’t staring at her. But Andrea still glared at him. Who knew she’s also the jealous type? Prior to this, Wayne has never been close to any woman. He’d never gone on dates. He always kept his distance during events like this. That woman was itching to put her hand on his arm, though. She can see that much.

Wayne stepped away from the woman, but she inched closer still. He frowned. There’s still someone who thinks he
