Max’s P.O.V
I had been running for a day full now. I could hear them yelling at each other to find me, dogs barking closing in trying to get to me.
“Why can’t we just use our speed to chase her?” one of them asked as I hid up on a tree inside a nest.
“There are traps in this woods, it seems the owner is a hunter of some sort” another one said.
I stayed still.
“She’s here, I can hear her heart beating” I heard the other one yelling.
‘Wait, what?…..Ouch. Not now darn it’
Suddenly; it hit me again. That thing that always did when my heart stops beating, giving me searing pain.
I tried to breath but I couldn’t. I wanted to do something, heck scream if I had to, but I just laid there on the tree trying to grasp for air although I ended up blacking out. I don’t know what happened next.
I woke up with a massive headache. I opened my eyes only to realize it was getting dark.
‘I need to go home a
Macie’s P.O.V “Why are we driving like mad dogs?” I asked suddenly confused. I mean fuck the formalities, this was my life at stake. But there was no response. I was scared. ‘What happened in that house that could cause this hysteria?’ I thought looking at both Andrea and Maya. They just looked so scared. Like someone told them their cat died and the thing that killed it was coming for them too. ‘White people shit’ I rolled my eyes. “Macie please shut up I’m trying to think” Miss Johnson blurted out surprising me after a long silence of hysterical driving. “I didn’t say anything though” I defended not sure what had happened. “You tend to think out loud” Andrea said in a bored tone surprising me with her tone. ‘Is she bored of me already?’ “Cie, I liked you. But I think it’s best we drop you off at your place” Andrea said blankly surprising me. ‘I thought she liked me’ ‘Wait, she
Max’s P.O.V There are times I feel out of place, like I need a way forward but I am not asking. I’m rather settled in my pain, I wallow and reminisce unwanted moments without purpose. I ask myself why me, why did it have to happen to me. ‘Doesn’t the Bible say “God has good plans for us?” what plans does he have in allowing such in my life? Ok, maybe I did play a role in driving my father away, but still, did I deserve such? Now that I think about it, no one loves me. Even my dead beat father, he just decided to leave us behind. Did he know what he was doing, did he know that this will happen? I hate him’ ‘Ok, maybe hate is a strong word there tiger!’ ‘I know, I know! I’m just…I don’t know how to feel man’ ‘Who said you need to figure out how you’re supposed to feel? In life we all have feelings, yes we can control them, but for balance’s sake, one is expected to feel something’ ‘Yeah! But I don’t feel anything. Ok, wh
Andrea’s P.O.V “Can you stop being mad” I shouted at Maya. She was acting childish, and lashing at me was not solving our problem. I understand why she had to be mad. I mean we had been fine before but now that Sebastian is here, we either have to run and start over, which is a big change, or we have to go back home with him, and I am sure that isn’t part of our wishes. “I’m sorry, I just…” “I understand” I cut Maya off. She looked like she was about to cry. She nodded her head and motioned I continued with Macie. I turned around and looked at Macie. She studied my face like she was looking for answers. ‘I wish I could tell you’ I sympathized with her. ‘We have to go’ Maya stated in our mind link. ‘We are already out of time. They might show up anytime. I am sure Sebastian followed us here although, I do not know what is taking him so long to show up’ she continued. ‘You know him well…’
Max’s P.O.V‘I can’t tell him why I ran from home.‘Just walk, follow him,My mind was playing tricks with me. It had been a long confusing tiring day. I was panicking a bit. I wasn’t sure why I wasn’t running away, but I wasn’t ready and willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, I guess I didn’t know what I really wanted at that moment.‘…watch him…’ my instinct cried in.‘Why should I watch him?’I was battling with my mind, not sure what was the next move, but in as much as I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, I was going to be careful. I wasn’t going to allow myself to walk in a devil’s den knowingly.‘…because you don’t trust anyone, but ironically you see goodness in everyone’‘Yeah, because everyone has goodness in them.’I wasn’t sure why my conscience was telling me it was ironic what I was doing, but I kind of did understand where the source of the whole reassurance needed came from. ‘….but still…’ my conscience voiced, but I cut it off before it could g
Belinda's P.O.V"Mrs. Johnson who do you have upstairs?" Naya asked as we made our way to the stairs. We were abruptly stopped by Michael, who came running down the stairs shouting she's here.'Ahh, so much for trying, why didn’t she run?'"Who?" Naya asked stopping him on the flight, interrupting my thoughts."The girl you said we should look out for, she is taking clothes from our son's closet. Why would she do that?" He startled us with his squeaky voice. I turned and looked at Naya, but she just shrugged her shoulders and passed him, pushing him along, he almost feel off the stairs."You know you can try to be nice sometimes.""Where. is. she?" Clearly my comment did not phase her."She is gone" Mrs. Johnson muffled cries as she rubbed her eyes."Agh, useless" Naya huffed, leaving the woman crying and Michael baffled on the door."Who did you say you are, and where are you from" he asked
Macie's P.O.V ‘Ding dong’ the doorbell rang. ‘Shit, who’s that?’ paranoia started. ‘I need to chill, I did not do anything bad to anyone, and neither did I sleep with someone’s daughter lately’ ‘Ding dong’ it rang again. ‘Ding dong, ding dong’ “What?” It was not pleasing anymore. I was angry and frustrated. The encounter with the Johns did do a number on me! ‘Ding dong’ it rang again. “Ok! I'm coming, I'm coming. Jeez chill you tits whoever you are.” I made my way to the door. I had been up relieving the moments of my encounters with the Johns. They were acting weird. And the running part, it really outdid me well. I was so paranoid I was waiting, I don’t know for what or who but I was. “Why were they running? What if they are wanted fugitives?” I was starting to get really frustrated. ‘Ding dong’ “What!” I panicked shouted. ‘Again? Who
REDLAND: NINE MONTHS AGO Sebastian's P.O.V “Sebastian, Sebastian the king summons your presence” a maddening loud voice woke me. ‘That must be Carlos’ “Wake up chief” he pried. “Carlos it's...” there was so much noise as I tried to wake up. “Why the noise?” I turned rubbing my hurting red eyes, only to be met by a formally dressed Carlos. I stared at him up and down. He was dressed in his royal guard occasional robes. “Why are you all dressed up, did I miss something yesterday?” I was conflicted. “We have visitors” he blurted like it was no surprise. “Who?” I was suddenly intrigued by the new information. It had never happened that people would visit the palace without us knowing. It was our duty to know, to prepare for their visits and welcome them. “The Royals” he said it like he was about to squirm. “Why?” I asked a question like Ca
IN THE KINGDOM, TEN HOURS AGO (King’s Chamber) No one’s P.O.V“Gideon, Gideon. Hear my name, follow my voice. I summon your presence”There was a loud muscular horsy voice shattering the walls of the castle. The walls had started cracking, but it seemed the cracks and the vibrations were heard only in the bedroom. There was no movement outside the king’s room.“My Lord! I am your humble servant.” Gideon purred like a hungry cat seeing its master, kneeling in front of the unknown figure.“It has been years since the prophecy was revealed. In the birth of the child’s parents and now that the child has grown. It cannot be repeated twice and not mean anything. You seem to not wonder, this are hinders that are yet to reveal their wings, and we have to clip them before they learning to fly. I cannot be undone by a mere mortal. I am the god to come, the god that all w
