Chapter Forty

With one last kiss on their heads, I give them a little shove inside. Susannah locks the door from the inside while I say the protection enchantment I learned, adding an extra layer, just in case.

Once finished, I stare up at the house. Letting out a slow breath, I turn my back and make my way toward where I’m supposed to meet my team.
