Unknown POV

"Lisa！" I yelled as I moved closer to the river bank.

"Lisa, come back to your senses" I yelled as sighted Lisa moving closer to the river like a zombie.

I moved closer to her to stop her but I bumped into some people.

I looked around but lost contact with Lisa.

I heard a noise beside me and I looked at the river.

I sighted Lisa in the river and she made weird sounds as her clothes or into shreds and her legs webbed together with green fins.

I became shocked, I never knew Lisa was a mermaid all this while and we have been working together for the past five years.

"I need to save her or else she might become prey to humans or jinns," I said to myself and held my breath as I jumped in the river.

It was difficult to swim and my legs didn't web to a tail.

I did not turn to a merman because the elders of the ocean rejected and cursed me.
