It took Elish over two hours to stand up from the floor of her room. The sudden movement of her limbs caused the stiff muscles to creak with numbness as she swayed to the side and fell down without an ounce of strength. The force from falling on the wooden floor did not even arouse any expression on her face, and the pain seems to be negligible in contrast to the pain that is swarming in her chest.

The content of the letter keeps on resounding in her mind without a pause, and the hatred and grief intermingled with no outlet for her to vent on. Although she knew that it is the work of the crown prince of the Artemia Kingdom, the advice of her uncle seems to have formed a chain on her ankles to stop her from moving past the moral bottom line that was taught to them in the village.
