chapter eleven
I spent my morning baking at Julia's place since she was studying for an exam. I baked the oatmeal cookies. And, of course, the brownies. Julia and I were thinking about putting marshmallows at the top of the brownies and calling it smores brownies. I haven't talked about Austin to Julia yet. I haven't heard from him since the night I kissed him. I think it's better that way, but we surely need to fix things if we want to be how we used to be. Truthfully, I'm bothered about what I saw last night. For me, it's very unlike Austin. He's now in a relationship with Hope, who she barely knew.
"Cara, it's burnt," Julia suddenly said, pointing at the cookies in the oven.
I immediately took the cookies out from the oven and panicked since we couldn't sell them anymore. "You seem distracted. Does something happen again?" Julia asked and sat beside me, still holding his reviewers. "No, everything's okay," I said, still checking if we could save some cookies.

Austin's POVi've been feeling anxious these past few weeks. I don't like what i'm becoming, and I blame Hope for everything. There's a cafe shop owner who reached out to us regarding our brownies. They were asking if we could supply for them. I immediately called Julia about this, and she told me to set a meeting with them. I was so excited about this. CHAPTER TWOI arrived at the store and found the owner entertaining a few customers. I quickly helped him. Once the customers left, he taught me what to do. I'm a fast learner, so he didn't have a hard time teaching me.While I was waiting for a customer. I sat beside Roman and had a little chat with him. I told him how kind he is, as my friend says. He was a bit shy after that. He told me he's in his 40s. We talked about his family. I can see his sacrifice for his three children, as he had to come here to the city to find a good job to support their education in their province. I was moved by his story, so I also shared mine."What's your dream?" he asked me.I looked at him and smiled, "My dream is to become a successful businesswoman. CHAPTER THREEThe next morning. I met up with Julia in front of our school. We decided to buy some breakfast before our class started. "Tell me now, who's the guy?" I asked her, "Let's wait for Austin," she laughed. When Austin arrived with our food, he asked Julia who the guy was. "Austin, I'm sorry if I didn't tell you sooner, but I want you to promise not to be mad at me. Okay?" Julia asked him. "Geez, now I'm sure I know the person. Fine, I won't get mad.
