“Primary care?” Ameira crinkled her forehead upon reading the words written on the notepad. She looked up to see the name of the department. She scoffed. "Are they fooling me?" she bitterly asked at the back of her head. Do they want her to work in this department? Do they even know she hates crowded people and is surrounded by sick patients?

She was about to step back to leave, but before she could make any movement, the tinted glass door opened and called her. Ameira left no choice but to turn around and stare at the person in front of her.

"I told you you'd need my assistance." Aleja was smirking, saying those words, staring at him with that annoying look. “Come in,” he added before walking towards his workplace.

She took a deep sigh. "This old man is really persistent, isn’t he?" she asked, rolling her eyes. The more this old man showed her interest, the more Ameira wanted to avoid him. With this kind of act, he is definitely up to something.
