His body was trembling, and I couldn't help but feel pity for him for what that woman has put him through.

I didn't really understand how anyone could dare break his heart. But, judging from his tears, I figured he must have loved her at some point in the past.

"What happened then?" I made sure to make my voice sound soft, not wanting to startle him.

His face darkened, forcing his eyes on the road up front. Suddenly, I regret having had the urge to ask that question. I didn't even think if he wanted to rummage through the darkness of his past.

"I'm sorry.. I shouldn't ha--"

"I went back to my pack, but when I got there, it was war. Your father and mine were attempting to put an end to the feud between our packs. But that didn't end well and instead, took both my parents' lives while protecting me. I was still weak, too weak to fight and even defend myself because of the fact that I've been delaying my training for months." He explained.

Silence fell inside the car and I purs

She can’t even see he’s beyond in love with to trust him enough to tell him everything and insist on leaving him to “save him” every chance she gets. She wouldn’t have seen it for herself if she was Diana.
